Embroidery in Solidarity with Palestine
North East Fife 3

We are holding this beautiful event again as a space of holding, offering many possibilities: meet like minded humans in your local area, share stories and reflect, feel less alone, share the grief, love, hope and rage, make connections and organise, share knowledge and resources or just come along to be together. You are welcome to sew or just hang out and have a cuppa, in solidarity with the people of Palestine. All welcome.

Tea and coffee provided, bring something for a pot luck lunch, but only if you can. Your presence is the most important! Kids of all ages welcome too, and there will be some art materials for drawing and making posters. And @omondk and I will be on hand to show you how to do some basic stitching if you like. Materials provided but bring your sewing kit if you like.

Can you help? If you can't make the event but would like to make a donation you can donate to @medicalaidpal

Spent April camping our way down the west coast. Beautiful time!

1. An old slate mine in North Wales. Reading Lord of the rings makes so much more sense after being in the British Isles and experiencing the landscapes that inspired Tolkien.

2. A sunset on East Lomond Hill with Nia, who we pet sat for a week and visited sea towns all around Fife. This hill was once an Iron age hill fort, and the levels can still be seen from above 🤯

3. Willow (I think??) Seeds blowing the early morning breeze under Gyrn Ddu, Wales (pronounced like gern thee in cymraeg (welsh))

4. On the Isle of Staffa with a Puffin! (Zoom in)

5. Looking up somewhere in Devon. Watching the country explode with life after lying dormant all winter is some intense kind of magic, and it hits you in the chest when you see sun shine through leaves where there were bare sticks just a few weeks ago

6. Treated ourselves to local sirloin in Wales. A lady walked in before us and the entire conversation between her and the butcher was in fluent Cymraeg. It was so captivating. The reclamation of language, culture and dialect is so exciting

7. These huge stone slabs make up a now patchy staircase to the top of the old slate mine. I just fucking love stone work. There were tiny, old, stone dwellings up here, so far away from trade and arable land. Were they shepherd huts? Watch huts?

8. Blue bells, in the sun, lining the path to the beach. Stop ittt

9. Nic being very high up (we didn't make the stone stack).

10. More forest scenes. I've heard the human eye can see more shades of green than any other colour.

11. Slept in a balaclava all month cos it was so damn cold

12. Cooling off after deciding I knew better than all the maps and could ride my bike up the walking tracks up Pen Y Fan. Spent a whole day carrying my bike up and down the mountain (it broke). Was so sun burnt i couldn't sleep for 2 days Lel

13. A much nicer bike ride in Scotland

14. A little private jetty in Mull. A whole way of life unique to a place always gets me buzzing

15. Pretty bridge in Hereford

16. J beautiful bridge

17. Some blacksmith love

18. Wild garlic in Monimail

19. Ate lots of Limpets!

20. Tobermorry jetty
