The GEM Theatre is a place where stories come alive, voices are heard, and dreams are realized.

But keeping the doors of our home open can no longer be accomplished by our own passion and hard work alone.

It will require the whole of the community to step up and embrace their own accountability in the future of the theater.

Half boy, half bat—but who’s the real monster? 🦇

Bat Boy: The Musical brings dark humor, unexpected heart, and a whole lot of small-town secrets to The GEM Theatre in Garden Grove!

Based on a story from the tabloid Weekly World News, this horror-comedy rock musical follows Edgar, a boy discovered in a cave who just wants to fit in. But as fear and prejudice take hold, the townspeople might be scarier than his fangs. 👀

Add this one to your spooky-season theatre plans, and save this reel for your next OC theatre night!

📍 The GEM Theatre • 12852 Main Street, Garden Grove
📅 Now playing through October 25, 2026
