@onaje_h and I’s #babyshower was so much more than we could have dreamed it to be. Folks flew in from out of town, drove in, changed plans, etc. to show up for us and #babyRocco and I couldn’t thank everyone enough.

To the coordinating team— thank you from the bottom of my heart for all of the work that you put into this. From giving Rocco her own art activation, to transforming @zucotgallery into Rocco’s gallery (LOL), it was beautifully done and executed. @martiesegriffin @ebonymdford @simplieshelli @pf9271, @victoria_sears, I so appreciate each and everyone of you!

And, to the artists whose work made the evening even more special— thank you!

❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️

I told Onaje that I needed a quick walk to the corner after breakfast, and he was to pick me up. This fool pulled up playing this and needless to say, I tried to represent. 😂

Art has always been a catalyst for conversation, healing, and community.

Onaje Henderson had the honor of joining the panel at the Atlanta Hawks and Kaiser Permanente's second annual Real Talk, Real Strength: Men of Color Health Summit at State Farm Arena. Held during Black Men's Mental Health Awareness Month, the event brought together more than 90 men of color for meaningful conversations around holistic health, wellness, and community.

Onaje shared insights on the power of art to spark dialogue, strengthen communities, and support mental and emotional well-being. We are grateful to the Atlanta Hawks and Kaiser Permanente for creating space where culture, health, and the arts came together to inspire lasting impact.

Comment “Onaje” and we’ll send you the full conversation.

“If I went to another culture and told them what’s valuable, they’d look at me crazy.” 🤯

Why we allow people outside our culture to determine the value of our art? @onaje_h of @zucotgallery challenges us to stop waiting for external validation to determine the worth of our art and culture. Ownership isn’t just about having the deed, it’s about setting the rules. It’s time we decide what is “Blue Chip” in our own community. by @onaje_h

They can’t erase what we refuse to forget.

We protect it. We invest in it. We wear it.
