Equine Emergency Vet 🐎🩺
Learning to be a veterinarian and equestrian in real time

allow me to (re)introduce myself 🩺🐴

Hi, I’m Lauren. I’m an ambulatory emergency equine veterinarian and a 2025 graduate of Lincoln Memorial University CVM (go splitters!🪓). If you’re new here, I post my day-to-day as a vet, educational content for owners and fellow members of the field, and a LOT of pictures of my pets. Work-life balance is super important to me, and I love learning new skills and collecting hobbies (pickleball is my latest and greatest).

When I started vet school, the plan was to be a mixed animal GP. I totally swore off ER and thought my friends who loved emergency medicine were crazy. Then, during my fourth year, I spent a month with an amazing equine ambulatory practice. A few months later, I reached out to see if they were hiring … and the rest is history!

Whether you’re new here or you’ve been following along since I was a first year vet student, I hope you’ll stick around! 💖

don’t force yourself to shine so bright that you burn out early. you’re right where you need to be. slow down, you’re doing fine.❤️

I’ve been obsessed with these beaded tapestries lately. Such an easy craft to pass the time and this one is perfect for spooky season! 🧡
