From the discovery call to the final install, our process is designed to feel considered from start to finish.

We begin by reviewing plans, understanding how you live, and defining the vision for the space. Working alongside the architectural team and builder, we move into design development where we refine the brief, review inspiration, and shape concepts that feel both elevated and deeply personal.

Once the design direction is established, we build out the budget, fine tune every detail, procure each piece, and oversee the project through installation day.

A thoughtful, streamlined, and teamwork-driven process creates a positive project flow and a timeless result.

Introducing project College Park; our newest project in Costa Mesa which features a full-scale renovation that reimagines a post-war residence as a modern Spanish retreat. We collaborated hand in hand with the @alderjamesstudio team to create an exterior appeal that layered warmth, texture and timeless Spanish craftsmanship for a young, vibrant family.

THE SPEC BOOK.. the real trophy wife of our projects 🏆

Construction costs, project timelines, and execution are all guided by one essential document: the specification book. It’s the blueprint behind the blueprint, ensuring every finish, fixture, and design decision is clearly documented.

A thoughtful, organized, and easy-to-interpret spec book sets the entire team and the entire project up for success. We take this process very seriously as all teams should have the clarity they need to execute with confidence.

We break our specification books up into three portions:
1. Schedules (easiest for sub-contractors to read on the fly)
2. Drawings (the backbone of the vision)
3. Concepts (the visual for extra clarity)

The amount of detail that goes into building a custom home is endless, and every detail matters.

Construction is underway at Project College Park in Costa Mesa, and we’re obsessing over the material palette.

Tumbled limestone, reclaimed brick, marble, and handmade ceramic tile come together to create a modern Spanish home that feels collected, lived-in, and timeless. Our goal is for this new construction to feel as though it has been here for decades.. full of character, history, and warmth while incorporating all the comforts of modern living.

Hello, June 🤍

There’s something special about the start of a new month.. Fresh momentum, exciting milestones, and projects beginning to take shape.

This month feels especially meaningful as we watch Project Bonita Canyon come to life **this kitchen nook in particular!**. Seeing the details we’ve been dreaming up, refined, and obsessed over for nearly a year finally take form brings us so much joy.
