Plant those seeds!

They will always surprise you, and the joy that comes from planning and dreaming for tomorrow can be so magical.

Come along as we head into our 3rd year at One Small Acre as we prep for fall and winter, expand our veg garden, and plan for 2026 garden season in our Canadian zone 4/5 garden space.

Thank you @webefarminbc and your hard work growing this season. It has been such a pleasure seeing your bees in our garden and on our trees.

When I heard they had processed their honey for the season I was so excited to go grab a jar. A little collection of this growing season!

Come do your shopping on Standard Hill road

Still lots to do before ❄️

We will be cleaning up this year's garden, harvesting carrots and beets, I have so much cabbage to process, and the green house is going to get some TLC.

The plan is to dig out the grass, replace it with garden beds, and a gravel path drainage. Come spring we will be adding in automatic vents 🙌

We also have a crazy idea for this Feburary/March for the green house so stay tuned for that 🤞

What is on your to-do list?

Thank you Alyssa for saving me so much time! Also we were able to turn it into a fun activity for the littles.

Instead of individually shelling each bean pod, place them all in a bag, or pillow case, crush or break the shells so the beans are released. Some were missed but this cut the time down a lot.

I wish it was this fast. But a part of my nervous system is thankful for tasks that allow for slowing down and being in the moment.

Each year beans have become more successful on One Small Acre as we keep building our soil health.

You break it you fix it.

Did I fight with the blade on the jigsaw? You bet I did. But I wanted fun curves.

What colour should I paint the door?

Also does the coop need a barn quilt block?
