Guitar Pedals Made In Michigan
If It’s Too Loud, Turn It Down
POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED
I’ve been getting a lot of questions about Bo’s pedal, the HW-2.

Bo and I worked on this together for over two years. Everything about it, from the sound to the light-up faders, came from his vision. I’m grateful he trusted me with it and let me be a small part of the footprint he left on hardcore and beyond.

He was my friend. I miss him so much.

It’s currently up for pre-order, and proceeds will go to his family and various mental health services in the Chicagoland area. Please allow 6–8 weeks for build and ship time.

I’m sure I’ll have more to say later.

Bo Lueders forever.

My friend Bryce has cancer and I’m really getting tired of 2026 being such bullshit. Auctioning off my Swellers Marshall 4x12 1960A. Stock Celestion speakers, modified for only 16ohm with a metal backplate/jack. Terrible roadworn condition from 10+ years of touring. Sounds incredible. Was probably on Hot Mulligan and Greet Death albums I recorded.

Bid in the comments. Starting at $5. Bid higher than the highest bidder to be the highest bidder. Duh. Ending the auction at 4:20pm Eastern Tuesday Oct 20th. Open for two days only!

Rules: you need to come pick it up from somewhere in mid-Michigan. Will not ship. If you’re the highest bidder and won’t pay, I kick your ass and the next highest bidder wins. Every dollar goes to help this amazing family.

Thanks and happy bidding by @onedereffects

This is one of the coolest things to ever happen to Oneder.

Lemmy’s actual bass and amp are now on display at the Punk Rock Museum in Las Vegas, and visitors can actually PLAY THEM. How cool is that?

When Lemmy’s people asked Fat Mike to dial in the rig to sound like Lemmy, he ended up choosing the Oneder Effects Get Up Kids Action & Action pedal to help get there.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around the fact that a pedal I made with The Get Up Kids was part of Lemmy’s actual rig, dialed in by Fat Mike from NOFX, for people to experience a little piece of Motörhead history.

NOFX, The Get Up Kids, Motörhead, and Oneder Effects somehow all connected through one bass rig. Never in a million years would I have imagined that.

I’ve been fortunate enough to do some really cool things with Oneder over the years, but being a tiny part of preserving Lemmy’s sound is something I’ll never forget.

Pretty surreal. Thanks @fatmikedude, @thepunkrockmuseum, and @youngheartsbefree ⚡️ by @onedereffects

Following New Found Glory’s recent announcement that they’ll be donating a portion of their profits to the Adrenal Cure Collective through the end of 2027, I’m proud to share that Oneder Effects will be joining them by donating a portion of our own profits from every My Boost Over You pedal sold during that time.

The Adrenal Cure Collective is a nonprofit dedicated to raising awareness and funding research for adrenocortical carcinoma, the rare form of cancer Chad suffered from. It’s an incredibly rare disease, and research remains severely underfunded.

I’m grateful to have had the opportunity to work with Chad on this pedal, and I’m honored that something we created together can continue to do some good in his name.

More Chad ♥️

When we were gearing up to release the pedal we made together, we shot a little bit of each of us talking about it. This is actually the closest thing I have to a picture with him. I filmed him, he filmed me, neither of us really knowing how to operate the camera.

I feel like I say this every year, but man… take pictures with your friends.

We never released this footage, but always planned to whenever we were ready to do another “push.” So here it is, in its stripped-down form. I might put out the more “this is a commercial” version sometime, too, because even that reminds me of the great time we spent working on all of this together.

He helped me and my company when he absolutely did not need to exert any more energy on anyone other than himself and his family. But that’s the kind of person he was.

My friends over you… and he had LOTS of friends.

It feels weird having a product to sell that was a collaboration with someone who passed away. This has happened twice now this year, and it’s tough to navigate. Part of me worries that posting about the pedal could come across as opportunistic. Luckily, you all have been incredibly kind.

But I’m proud of this thing, and I know he was, too. And I’m really happy that people are feeling a little more connected to Chad through his pedal, his work ethic, and these little video clips of a time I’m very grateful I got to spend with him. by @onedereffects

After getting all this footage, I was pretty concerned making sure Chad was presented the way he wanted to be presented. He couldn’t hold a guitar up against his body because his medication made his abdomen hurt so badly. He had to find some interesting and mostly uncomfortable ways to play. There was lots of coughing, stretching, even some dozing off. When I asked him what he wanted me to cut out, he said “it’s all fine, just don’t make me look crazy.”

The last clip I posted seemed to move a lot of people. Seeing his strength, determination, and love for music is incredibly inspiring. This one has a few more vulnerable moments, but it’s real.

Going through this footage has been both therapeutic and heartbreaking. But I’d rather see more Chad than less ❤️💙🖤 by @onedereffects

Here’s some footage I shot from my short time with New Found Glory in the studio.

Chad mostly played with a pillow between his body and the guitar because he was in so much pain. He’d fall asleep sitting up between songs. He’d have to stop and stretch his hands for a couple minutes. Then he’d pick the guitar back up, knock out a whole song in ONE TAKE, and be ready for the next one.

I’d listened to NFG for 25 years at that point, but seeing that firsthand made it seriously click why people call him a legend.

That, coupled with how extremely welcoming and hospitable he was, made it a trip I’ll never forget. Great sense of humor on that guy, too.

I’m sure there will be more memories to come. by @onedereffects

I don’t really know what to say. I’m just going to start writing.

Chad invited me into the studio while New Found Glory was tracking their latest record. He was going through so much at the time. He could barely stay awake at points. There were alarms going off for medications, blood testing, all of these constant reminders of what he was dealing with physically.

I remember feeling a little like an outsider walking into that environment. Anyone who has spent time in a recording studio knows that having non-essential personnel around can sometimes feel like a distraction, and the last thing I wanted to be was a bother.

Chad never made me feel that way. He made me feel like a peer. He made me feel at home.

He specifically told me it was important to him that I came that Monday. They had actually saved guitar and bass parts because they wanted to use Oneder pedals on them, and he wanted me there for it. That meant more to me than I probably ever properly told him.

He even offered to let me crash at his house. Considering everything he was dealing with at the time, I’ll never forget that.

I was only there for one day, but I watched him absolutely bust his ass in that studio. You could see how much the music meant to him. How much the guys in the band meant to him. How much his family meant to him.

Chad was a fighter. He was a good friend and an amazing father.

I’m incredibly honored that we got to create something together, and even more grateful that through that process I got to know him better and call him my friend.

Rest easy, Chad. I’ll miss you, man. by @onedereffects

You may have heard… the Motor City Machine Guns are ALL ELITE!

Even cooler: their new entrance music comes straight from their own band, GRPPLNG — a brand new song called “Sleep.” Chris Sabin on bass, Alex Shelley on guitar and vocals. 100% Motor City punk rock & roll.

We cooked up something really great here at Oneder Studios this weekend, and we seriously can’t wait for you to hear the finished track.

And of course, we had to put their new signature pedal — the @hardwayelectronics Motor City Machine Fuzz — all over it.

The last of the HW-2 orders shipped today.

New puppy has made work… interesting. The shop temporarily moved into the living room (he insisted).

One of this week’s builds got the last Bo/Oneder promo sticker, which means there are now 500+ HW-2s out there.

I don’t think either of us could have imagined that when this project started. I wish I could tell him.

Thanks, guys. 🖤 by @onedereffects

The year is 1999, at my cousin Chris’ house in Temperance, Michigan. If you couldn’t tell, he really liked The Beatles. There I am, sat in my Misfits Fiend Club tee, learning “I Feel Fine.” I didn’t really appreciate The Beatles till I got older. We did, however, bond over a band called The Wonders (Oneders?). Chris went on to be the FOH sound engineer for @kelseaballerini. I went on to tour in a van, see the back alleys of the world, and learn to solder. Also, hi @shaniatwain. by @onedereffects
