POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

“The Dutch Castaway” was first performed at Boston Fringe 2026 where it swept The People’s Choice thanks to a wave of support. With just a single wooden chest and 18th century costumes, our 40 minute queer period drama transported a Somerville barbershop to a desolate Atlantic island in 1726.

We are so excited to return to this new work by Lawrence Gullo with a fully-staged production at @loov_the , which will feature the original cast under the continued direction of Cas Berta; this time with sound design and lighting design in the gorgeous and cavernous space on the stage of this beloved Somerville art studio.

🎟️See it live August 14-16 OR watch it remotely from anywhere in the world with a donation of $10. Links to both kinds of tickets are in our bio 🎟️

These photos were snapped by the talented local photographer @onesilvertongue , who we are so excited to invite to our rehearsals during this process at The Loov! by @onesilvertongue

Happy Summer Solstice ☀️✨Here’s a photo collection from the springtime. So much has been happening, and I won’t go into all of it, but I’ve had some lovely outings with friends, I’ve smelled the flowers, and for once I am looking forward to the summer. I have some really exciting things coming up: I’m moving to a new apartment! I got promoted at work! I’m seeing MCR in the pit very soon! The back half of 2025 into the first half of 2026 was dark, and maybe one day I’ll feel brave enough to talk about it, but the back half of 2026 is looking much, much brighter. by @onesilvertongue

“Is it strange to say I wish we could take his hand?”

The actors Lemaris Bell, Sebastian Crane, and Zach Fuller brought 18th century sailors to life in The Boston Fringe premiere of “The Dutch Castaway”. Under the direction of Cas Berta and supported by the dramaturgy of Justin Peavey, this cast dove deep into research about the hardships of life on British merchant ships and the complex realities of queer experiences in that era.

We are so excited that modern audiences responded passionately to a period piece. LGBTQ+ histories have been hidden away for centuries and it was such an honor to bring Leendert Hassenbosch’s memory into the spotlight during this very special festival.

Exorcising winter, dreaming of spring 🥀 A winter photo dump ~ I haven’t posted much in the last few months. Truthfully, it’s been a difficult winter, plagued with grief and malaise. But this is a collection of photos of the good things: new hobbies, new stories, beautiful sights, little moments, and fun times with people I love. Maybe I can make March the beginning of the new year for me instead. For now, I patiently wait for the flowers to return.

Belated Salem Night Faire post. ✨🍂 The Sweeney Todd crew was back at it again peddling elixirs. This is always my favorite spooky event of the year. 🖤

Weekend photo dump 💧🌿💀🎶👻🥀 in which @futuredvm.lexi and I saw the final Conjuring movie, explored Salem before getting caught in a heavy fae summer court coded rainstorm, and lost our minds (and voices) at the Fenway MCR concert

“And there’s a special kind of sadness that seems to come with spring.” - Florence and the Machine

Spring has been difficult, between being very sick and losing a beloved pet. But this past week some dear friends and I went to see the lilacs, and the flowers soothed my aching heart. 🍃🪻
