AV Work | Brutal | Capitol Theatre
First time messing around with lights
.
This project invites audience to explore audiovisual design, especially how it can evoke emotions surrounding the concept of "brutal." I mainly focus on the Capitol Theatre, where I use light, movement, and visual rhythms, along with sound, to create a brutal experience. My aim is to evoke a raw and memorable experience that highlights brutality as both an aesthetic and emotional force through these brutal mechanics: aggressive visual stimulation, safe brutality, and morbid curiosity.

Day 20

wouldn't have made this without meeting @_coraalice_ who inspired me to try and make some sort of techno.
I don't make a lot of 4x4 music but when I do I spend most of the time trying to make a kick transient that doesn't sound weird and combfiltery.

this time was with a sample of my gumtree special Pearl Export, that I pitched down a few semitones. .

the rest fell into place very quickly. by @onesoundeveryday
