How to handplant (the easy way)

1. Grab the board in a melon grab (front hand, heel edge, middle of the board)

2. Static Handplant. Place back hand on the ground and put weight into that hand while you lightly hop the board up and shift al your weight briefly into your back hand and then place the wheels back down.

3. Static handplant (45 degree turn) - same as before but you turn 45 degrees.

4. Static handplant (90 degree turn)

5. Roll up to a ramp slowly at 45 degree angle and pop a 90 degree Handplant at the bottom of the ramp.

6. Get high and higher.

7. As you get closer to the top, you need come in at a tighter angle and look down even more to keep you in the ramp.

8. Hit the coping, hold on, keep head low and legs high and push off the coping as you come back in. Keep your knees bent when you come back in.

Here’s how to make your DIY Carpet Board STRONGER! 💪

This one uses a thicker 65mm pressure pipe instead of the thin walled 50mm regular PVC I used last time!

What you need:
🆕 65mm PVC pressure pipe
👉 6mm rubber washers
👉 6mm drill bit
👉 10mm spanner
👉 Hacksaw
👉 Skateboard, nuts and bolts.
🆕 A smooth cut Half Round file

The height on this is very close to a regular set up and the pop is awesome! 🤘

How to make a DIY Carpet Board for those rainy days. ☔️

What you need:
👉 50mm PVC pipe
👉 6mm Rubber washers
👉 6mm drill bit
👉 10mm spanner (long)
👉 Hacksaw
👉 Skateboard and bolts

Awesome for practicing your flatground tricks and powerslides! 🤘

Not sure how long the PVC pipe will last yet though!

What you need 👇

65mm PVC pressure pipe.
6mm rubber washers.
Hand saw
Drill + 6mm drill bit
Nuts and bolts
10mm long handled spanner (so you can get inside)
Skateboard.
File.
Carpet.

If rock to fakies scare you, just going for one isn’t going to fix that.

Coping taps might feel sketchy at first too but they’re a lot less sketchy than a rock to fakie you’re not ready for.

Draw a line or pick a spot on the ramp. Start slow, just pumping up to it. Then go fast enough that you need to antipump to slow down on that spot.

This helps build speed control.

Once you’re comfortable with that start trying to tap the coping, until you can tap it every time. You need to go fast enough to have to antipump into it. If you pump up to it, you risk pumping over the coping.

If you’re too scared to try these, it’s probably not the right time to learn rock to fakies!
