An acid drop is just a half ollie off of something. The key is to over exaggerate your knee bend after your half ollies, get the speed right and get the timing of the half ollie right. A lot of beginners make the mistake of going too slow but it makes it a lot harder to land.

65mm PVC pressure pipe.
6mm rubber washers.
Hand saw
Drill + 6mm drill bit
Nuts and bolts
10mm long handled spanner (so you can get inside)
Skateboard.
File.
Carpet.

If rock to fakies scare you, just going for one isn’t going to fix that.

Coping taps might feel sketchy at first too but they’re a lot less sketchy than a rock to fakie you’re not ready for.

Draw a line or pick a spot on the ramp. Start slow, just pumping up to it. Then go fast enough that you need to antipump to slow down on that spot.

This helps build speed control.

Once you’re comfortable with that start trying to tap the coping, until you can tap it every time. You need to go fast enough to have to antipump into it. If you pump up to it, you risk pumping over the coping.

If you’re too scared to try these, it’s probably not the right time to learn rock to fakies!
