In Loving Memory of Cinnamon 🖤
March 8th, 2009 - April 17th, 2023
Thank you to everyone who has followed, liked, commented, shared and supported Cinnamon on her journey. You helped tremendously during tough times.
Cinnamon is a fighter, but she was ready to rest and chose to leave us this morning. She is now with our beautiful black lab Daisy, chasing endless sun ☀️
I will miss her for the rest of my life and will carry her always in my heart.
I don’t know what life will look like without her, she’s been with me since I was 9 years old 💔 One day I would love to share her story here with you all from start to finish, but for now, I just need time.

One of my favourite photos of Cinnamon 🥹
Despite the cancer visible in her left leg, it brings back good memories of hanging out in the yard with her as we were putting out the pumpkins for Halloween.
She still had her full sass, doing as she pleased outside and showing some playful excitement that day.
I’ll never forget her 🧡

Taken 7 years ago almost to the day, Cinnamon was rocking blue hair as we all got into the Halloween spirit ☺️👻
I’ve never considered blue as one of her colours, but I admit, I may have to reconsider 🤣💙

Cinnamon always hated this part of the year, where it was beginning to get notably colder outside.
But, it meant her love for blankets increased 😆
I think most of the blankets in our house was really hers. She was always wrapped up, or finding one to steal. I even caught her in the act of doing so a few times 🤣
I miss that silliness 🤍

National Black Dog Day was yesterday, with the intent to bring awareness to black dogs being adopted less frequently than others.
Daisy was the first dog I ever had in my life, I was only 3 years old when she was brought into the family 🥹
She was the most gentle and kind soul you could have met. Cinnamon came along when I was 9, after saving all the money I could for her, but it was Daisy who started my love for dogs at all 🖤
I’m so grateful to have had the two in my life, let alone to have years with them both together, side by side 🥲 those memories are most precious. I’ll never forget them ❤️❤️

Cinnamon was resting in a very adorable way, just flat out like a pug-pancake 🤣
She always found a way to make herself ‘fit’ to however you were sitting, using the space that was available to make sure she could still keep close to you. I miss it ❤️

I used to love to go over to Cinnamon on the couch and sit her upright 😆 She’d always put no effort in herself, slumped to her side and arms flopping about, her full weight leaning on your hands 😂 then you’d put her back down and she’d just go back to sleep 🤣
She was such an amusing pug ❤️

Welcoming autumn with memories of being outdoors with Cinnamon in the fallen leafs 😊
She had her cancer very visible on her left leg here, and I was trying to make every moment with her count, every second becoming more precious than the last.
I still wish I had more videos of her than I do, but I’m thankful for what is there, along with all the memories I hold dear 🥲❤️

Cinnamon trying to nab my food 🤣
Putting in all that effort just for a scrap 😆
She was very devoted to trying to get whatever she could at the dinner table.
For Cinnamon, food was like oxygen, she’d gobble it up so quickly it was like she didn’t even chew half the stuff we gave her. Then she’d immediately stare up at us with huge eyes as she waited for more 😂
I really do miss that at the dinner table ❤️
