Books I read in September.

I did mostly all audiobooks as it was very quiet in the space I was working.

I do recommend audiobooks - Listen for A lie and Good People, both are a full cast presentation. Loved both the books.

Also, I finished reading The book of Everlasting Things. A beautiful story, set before and after the Partition. It dragged a bit in between but it was a good read.

Hope you all bookish peeps had a good reading month too...

It's been a while since I posted anything Food related.. this account is not only for the books I read 🙂.

Two years before I was into pumpkin seeds. That was crazy.. and one day I just did not want them. Then came raisins and cashews.

These days I keep feeling hungry and land up snacking biscuits. I am not a fan of protein bars so I decided to eat just roasted grams / channa/. Boring.

I do eat fruits after lunch everyday.

My sister said to increase my protein intake. That's something I am working on.

Then I looked up to see some recipes on YT and there I saw something called Gur Channa. It has its benefits but ultimately your cooking it in Jaggery, which is also a sweetner.

Luckily for me that's not an issue. I use jaggery in tea too.

So here it is prepared at first attempt.
Let's see how it goes.

Next I am considering trying those energy balls..

Any other ideas, please share.

This is basically for the afternoons.

Yesterday was Library Day and although I tend to be excited the night before this time it was different.
I decided to just pick what's there, as in surprise me 🤣.

But I did get the Lisa See book which I was looking for. I picked up a book about superfoods and two others just because they had a less page count.

And I did reserve the book I actually wanted. It's a big fat one.. saving it for next month 😁.

I tend to wake up early even on a Sunday.
I put on this Spotify channel Aparmita Himalyan flute music and have a cup of tea. Just to slow down a bit.
And today I was thinking about what to do, when I decided to check on pintrest for some book mark ideas.
People these little book marks are nothing but the white cards in your tea bag box, if you have seen them.
Small and perfect so I took some tape, added some colours and there my very own Bookmark 🔖.

It was an unexpected detour but I loved it.

The first time I used this 1 Dirham Abra was when my Dad took me to the Global village in Garhoud.
I do use the marine transport but the Abra is something different. It's open, people sitting side by side.. contemplating and getting to destinations.

You can't rush the ride, it has its own pace.

The sun was shining crazy and yes my backside got a very heated experience 🤣🤣IYKYK.

I walked the streets within the souq.. it's different when it's quiet and early. I've never been on some of these streets. Probably should have taken more pictures.

But next time definitely when the temperature cools down 😀.

Books I read this August.
My favourite recommendations would be the Top line 3 books.

I am really enjoying reading thrillers At the moment.

Most of you know I do read multiple books and these are just part of that list.

The next part when I finish those 😊.

Today is the Feast of the Solemnity of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Our Church organised a DIY Rosary Making Experience.
It was a beautiful experience to be surrounded by strangers who then became friends. Each one helping one another to string the beads, tie the knots while praying for everyone who needed our prayers.

The Priests then blessed all our Rosaries, made with our own hands and we recited the Rosary to end the event.

I am glad I could be a part of this event.

My Library Haul this Sunday.

I did not realise the colours were Similar 😊.

And I have finally got my hands on the book 📚 What you are looking for is in the library.

I did watch 🎥 Where the Crawdads sing and I liked the story but I felt I must read the book too.

At the Emirates litfest this year I heard and saw Eowyn Ivey, so am reading another book of hers set in Alaska.

The 🌸 cherry blossom boat house was just something I came across recently and since it was AVB I picked it up.

I wanted to read something completely different but I landed with these 😄😄
