On the board! Showed up to Cattaraugus Creek late this afternoon with only an hour to connect with an early running Steelhead. I thank my good friend Rick Kustich for the pregame advisement as things worked for the best. The cloud cover and cooler temperatures in low light were in my favor too. Today I took a drive to the Salmon River in Pulaski, NY to fish what should be the peak of the salmon run. This is a picture of the Douglaston Salmon Run today with a rare view of few fisherman and even fewer fish. I fished for about 2 hours and went home. #salmonfishing by @ontariofly_guide

Living in the "fruit belt" along the southern shores of Lake Ontario can be a fantastic experience. The change of seasons are breathtaking, the orchards fruitful, and the trout fishery is world class. I retired from my professional career working with biologic and immunotherapies for cancer and infectious diseases and built this 2800 sq foot home on a wooded lot just steps from Lake Ontario a few years back. My wife and I do all the landscaping, painting, and upkeep. When you come from a more humble starting place and build something great, you understand the meaning of hard work and discipline. by @ontariofly_guide
