A super fun day on the Arkansas tailwater out by Pueblo,CO
and we've got our newest certified Bold Face mentor! A retired USAF Space officer, Mark Bieda has been taking out both his friends and servicemembers out on the Ark to teach em how to fly fish for a long time, so becoming a Bold Face mentor was a natural choice for him. Can't wait to get him connected with our students and fellow mentors! Welcome Mark!

The weather may be cooling down, but Bold Face in New England is getting hot!!!Some days, our mentors and guides just "need a day" and get to go out fishing on "non-training" trips like this one. @glennlevasseur got the chance to spend the day out with @ontario_fly_outfitters , who showed him what upstate NY fishing is all about! If you're ever up in the NE, youve got some great fishing buddies! What an awesome day guys!

So, this was work the past few days for our president, @ryanvpadgett ! @springcanyon asked @boldfaceflyfishing to help train some of their staff to teach fly fishing to their @ocfusa military campers, so who are we to say no??!! Had a pretty amazing couple days exploring new water around the Collegiate Peaks, and even got to have @jade_reynolds92 come on his first Bold Face trip as well! Not that any of them are new fishermen; everyone caught fish, earned their dollar ride stickers, had a blast, dropped their stress levels, and made some new friends in the process. How do YOU volunteer your time?! Earned their $ Ride stickers!

Something @boldfaceflyfishing has known since our founding, and known by countless military and 1st responders: The peace, focus, skillset, and relationships grown at the end of fly lines can heal wounds, forge bonds, and bring back a richness to life many of us in uniform can start to forget. And now, they've made a movie out of that story!

If you love fly fishing, I won't have to convince you to see this. If you're a currently serving military member, 1st responder, medical professionals, or love one of em, and you're looking for peace, purpose, and community, this might give you a good idea where to find it. And if you are and want to learn how to fly fish for free, shoot us a message!

Big thanks to @mendingtheline and @blue_fox_entertainment for telling this story!

@ryanvpadgett and @fly_fishing_sierras headed out to Pyramid lake for some stress relief and fellowship, and came out with a couple 10+ pounders! Aaron's was about 13 lbs and Ryan's about 15 lbs! Catching fish is never needed for stress relief, but when they're there, they sure are fun!

An epic fly fishing dollar ride! @erinmay.m and @may_b13 , two USAF officers, joined @ryflyguy530 , one ofnour LEO students @gtelliottjr , and @ryanvpadgett for a double header to Hat Creek and the Pit River and earned their dollar ride stickers. Erin was certainly crowned "Queen of the River", but everyone caught fish, saw some gorgeous country, and made some new friends and fishing buddies. Think Erin and Brenden caught the fly fishing bug???;-)

PS. @winstonrods , notice that bent rod in the picture???Erin caught her first fish on one of our mentor's Winston rod and @bauerflyreel reels;-) You guys sure do make some awesome rods!

If you're a currently serving first responder, military member, medical worker, or loved one and want to learn to fly fish for free, it would be our honor to teach you.

If you love fly fishing and want to help us TEACH some ofnour folks to fly fish, or support what we're doing, shoot the Bold Face Fly Fishing Foundation a message! Donations are tax-deductible!

Bold Face Fly Fishing has big news! After months of work, and partnering with @chisholmlawfirm , we're now officially recognized as a 501c3 non-profit! Special thank you to our fellow flyfishing mentor and registered agent, @nocoroamer, as well as our entire staff and board of directors for turning a couple fly-fishing fools crazy idea into an organization that's helping bring peace and fellowship to our nation's heroes and their loved ones. No time to slow down now!

Had our biggest "dollar ride" day yet! Normally Bold Face doesn't do group events, but this time we had a chance to partner with Travis AFB's True North resiliency program and @the_fly_shop to get 10 airmen out on a guided float down the lower Sac, and a bunch of em caught the fly fishing bug! Lots of folks caught their first fish, but everyone earned their "dollar ride" stickers today. Huge thanks to @bquick99 and @joshuasemovoski for letting us tag along and help out on this epic day, and even bigger thanks to @fourwindsguideservice for being our presidents guide for the day! If you want to go fish with an awesome instructor, guide, and all around awesome human being, he's your man! Thanks for an epic day!
