We have some of the best Esox fishing just an hour or two from the city of Toronto! Why take the long drives to cottage country and beyond when we have fish like this right in our backyards!

We are almost fully booked for This years Musky fishing with only a handful of dates left and already booking dates for 2025! If you’d like to book a day with us on the water to hunt for the fish of a lifetime, email us at ontarioguide@gmail.com or DM us on Instagram.

Trophy Brown Trout on the dry fly can be one of, if not the hardest task for a fly angler in southern Ontario. With the right instruction, presentation and fly selection im you can have success with minimal casts and effort. Over the years I have created special and unique techniques to help even the most novice angler catch trophy trout like a pro.

If you are looking to learn or up your dry fly game book a trip trip with us this year by emailing us at ontarioguide@gmail.com, DM us on Instagram or go to our website at aperfectdrift.com

A couple weeks ago my client Ryan and I found some large Brown trout feeding heavily on caddis at the head of a pool. Watch this 20” Brown roll and smash my clients fly!

Ryan is a long time bass fly angler and this day was his first day brown trout fishing. I think it’s safe to say trout fishing did not disappoint, considering this was his 3 trophy Brown trout of the day.

We are almost fully booked for this September. If you’d like to book a trip with us, you can email ontarioguide@gmail.com to book your trip today!

Mitch had one of our first Night trips of the year booked on his birthday and you could say he got a nice present. He followed and executed the plan perfectly and got rewarded with this 23” Brown on a Dun dry fly. Happy Birthday Mitch!

The month of May flew by and we are already half way through our spring trout season! Here’s a nice Brown trout from last month but with the spring progressing make sure to make adjustments as the temps start to rise and the rivers get lower.

We are almost fully booked for this September. If you’d like to book a trip with us, you can email ontarioguide@gmail.com to book your trip today!

While walking down the trail in the morning to access the river, Jonathan had mentioned to me that he’d like to one day catch a wild Brook trout that was 12” or bigger. Well ask, and you shall receive. This Brook trout came in at just about 16” and is one of the better ones we’ve seen over recent years.

Over the past couple seasons, we’ve been noticing a big increase in size as well as health in a lot of our brook trout rivers in southern Ontario. These results come from the incredible work that groups like @izaakwaltonflyfishing @troutunlimited and @ontariorivers are doing to increase habitat and river water quality.

We are almost fully booked for this September. September is my favourite month to target aggressive brook trout on dry flies! During this month, they are starting to show their beautiful fall colours as well as packing on some good weight in preparation for spawning in October. If you’d like to book a trip with us, you can email ontarioguide@gmail.com to book your trip today!

I love it when they SMACK that streamer on the first cast.

It’s hard to find time for myself on the river these days, but the first personal outing of the season will be a memorable one for me.
