We’re staying an extra day! AA needed our seats, and we had nothing scheduled at home, so it was well worth it to stay an extra day in Amsterdam by @operafields

Something very exciting is coming up!

Rehearsals began last weekend for America Made in Virginia: 250 Years Together, the spectacular 4th of July program that will feature the Virginia Chorale in Williamsburg. We spent time rehearsing and recording this weekend, and wow- what a show it's going to be!

On July 4, 2026, at 8:00 pm, broadcast live nationally from Colonial Williamsburg on PBS!

In addition to the Virginia Chorale, special guests will include singer-songwriter Judy Collins, renowned filmmaker Ken Burns, Michael Feinstein, Ryan Speedo Green, Kelli O’Hara, Richard Thomas, and Adrienne Warren!!! SO COOL!!! by @operafields

My kids never took an interest in music or singing, despite me wanting them to, deep down, and regretting it a little now. BUT, WOW, they are the most in-shape, fit kids I could’ve ever imagined! A year or more after they quit swimming, diving and track, they are still actively fit. I’m thankful for that.

Amazing night at the Stephen Schwartz event at W&M, hearing his music performed, including an aria from his opera, Seance on a Wet Afternoon, Godspell, Hunchback, and Wicked. Then Deborah Seraydarian and I met and chatted with him at the reception afterwards! Thank you, Tiffany Haas (who interviewed him and sang beautifully!!!) and Phaedra McNorton for inviting him here and organizing such an awesome night. by @operafields
