Zorro closes tonight at Opera in Williamsburg🔥

Getting to stage this production feels especially meaningful to me because I first experienced @hector.armienta ‘s Zorro at @operasanjose , where I assisted @eltorissimo ’s production back in 2025. A year and a half later, I’m incredibly grateful to return to this piece as its director for its East Coast premiere.

It was also such a joy to reunite with @maestrojorgeparodi , @xavier.m.prado , Eugene Brancoveanu, and @melisabonettiluna , who were all part of the @operasanjose production. Getting to share this piece with them again made this all the more special and memorable.

Thank you, @hector.armienta , for giving us this gift that keeps on giving. Zorro opens the door for more audiences to see themselves on the operatic stage, and I believe that kind of representation is needed in our industry.

It takes everyone’s patience, passion, and grit to bring a production like this to life. I’m endlessly thankful to this entire team for the care and commitment they brought every day.

Budapest, Bratislava, Vienna, Salzburg. What a time! I loved performing musical theatre & opera, visiting beautiful places, all while sailing the Danube with a lovely group of people and my wonderful husband. I am so lucky!

Theme music for a sewing show?? Check!!
Thanks to @savannahsh for connecting me with @vintagethirsty for this project. I even got to bring in my friend @operafields to sing and @thadlavender to play saxophone! The first episode of this series is now available. Lauren does a great job educating about sewing. She’s funny and charming and her Scottish accent makes her extra enjoyable! Give it a watch, and a listen! Search Vintage Thirsty on YouTube #sewingmachine #sewingeducation #thememusic

From the terrifying corners of Fleet Street to th sparkling Christmas decoration at the Warbucks Mansion; to the glittering gala to the humbling encouraging words of the great Simon Estes; to the cool’s waters of The Beach to the sumptuous food at ToCa with all the laughter and endless bonds created, it has been an immense adventure being with the American Gothic Performing Arts Festival this summer! Being in Ottumwa is a memory I will never forget. To the wonderful new friends and colleagues to the art we have made together, I say bravi tutti to all of you!!
