September OPERA NOISES is out! This month is all about Benjamin Britten. (Spoiler: not all is positive.) HOWEVER! We have a great article on horror in Britten's works by @gabrielle.ferrari and a wonderful interview by friend of the zine, @jolivier7, with @ian__rucker (who recently played the title role). Lastly, the spectacular cover is from the incomparable @sophieziner, without whom this zine would not be possible. Thank you all for your contributions, and happy reading. by @operanoises

OPERA NOISES AUGUST IS OUT!!!! This one was a labor of love. A double issue on an opera that has meant more to me than any other in a long, long time: Hector Berlioz's epic masterpiece, LES TROYENS. Grateful to @annacaterinantonacci @bryanhymel_voice_studio @joycedidonato and George Tsypin for their time; all of these interviews are fantastic. (Note: these photos only show about half the pages of the zine.) by @operanoises

JUNE OPERA NOISES IS OUT 🚨🚨🚨 Took a little longer than I thought, but here it is. We rate five singers of the Golden Age (roughly, 1900-1925) on five metrics (shout-out to the historical voice GOATs @trrill_ @nickscholl_ and @kajivocals for their incredible archives and resources). We're also doing a deep-ish dive on Sir Harrison Birtwistle's THE MINOTAUR. Also included: some of my original collage art, @dr_strat 's photography, metaphysical poetry, and much more.
