It's officially spooky season at Operation Outbreak. We will have extended hours all month long for anyone wanting to play any of our horror themed rooms. The closer it gets to Halloween the faster the rooms sell out, so don't wait till the last minute! by @operationoutbreak

A few weeks to go...

The files are being assembled. The pieces are falling into place. And there is a lot we still can’t show you without giving something away.

We seriously cannot wait for you to see what we’ve been building.

If you’re already registered, finish filling your team soon. The deadline to add players is coming up, and once it closes, your roster is locked.

Until then… consider this your glimpse inside.

See you in the field. by @operationoutbreak

Spooky Season is almost here and we have just what you have been looking for.

Asylum. Jigsaw. La Llorona. Area 915. Four rooms, four fears, one clock ticking down on all of them.

Huge thanks to local artist @santitorium for designing that poster — no AI, no shortcuts. Just like everything else here: we're El Paso's only locally-owned escape room, built by real people who live for this stuff. taken in Operation Outbreak: El Paso Escape Game by @operationoutbreak

SOLD OUT.

Incredibly proud of what our team has built over the past few months.

The Escape Race started as one of those ideas we couldn’t stop talking about, and somehow we’ve watched it turn into something real. From the websites and physical props to the characters, locations, clues, and hidden Easter eggs, every little detail has been carefully thought through to create a world we cannot wait for you to step into.

Agent Recall is our little love letter to the film noir movies of old — mystery, shadows, secret meetings, suspicious characters, and a story unfolding through the streets of El Paso.

This is the biggest thing we’ve ever attempted, and none of it would be possible without the support you’ve shown Operation Outbreak since the day we opened our doors.

We’ll see you in the field.

November 7.

In celebration of the 2026 Brain Awareness Week the SfN Sun City Chapter and Operation Outbreak are hosting a neuroscience-themed escape room on April 7th, 2026. 🧠 Spaces are limited so hurry to book your slot using the link in our bio!

(This event is free and open to the public)

Escape Room Backstory:

In 1994, the Sun City Institute of Neurological Sciences was studying prion proteins as concern over mad cow disease grew. Researchers focused on how misfolded proteins spread in the brain and disrupt normal brain functions, but a containment failure during a late-stage experiment triggered a lockdown.

Within a day, exposed scientists developed worsening neurological symptoms, including slowed reactions, emotional instability, and declining coordination. As their condition progressed, primitive and aggressive behaviors emerged, and they were restrained while being observed without proper ethical oversight. A power failure soon disabled monitoring systems and sealed the facility, cutting off communication with senior staff.

You awaken inside the locked building with no memory of how you arrived, though it seems like you are one of the exposed scientists and that someone inside the facility may have contributed to the breach. To prevent progression to the final stage of illness, you must search the researchers’ notes for clues and identify a possible cure.

The building remains in lockdown.
The outbreak protocol is active.

Happy Anniversary to "La Llorona."

When we started designing this room, we didn’t just want to build a scare—we wanted to capture the lore that raised us. We wanted to pay homage to our roots and bring the authentic terror and tragedy of this folktale to life in a way that only people from the Borderland could understand.

Thank you, El Paso, for trusting us with this story. Thank you for the sold-out nights, the screams, and for allowing us to bring a piece of our culture into the escape room world.

We’re able to bring stories like this to the Borderland because we are born and bred here. Locally owned, locally inspired—something the chains just can’t claim.

Here’s to many more years of "La Llorona"
