Images from our Office Inauguration with the president of @bauhaus_uni

After carefully considering a range of office options, we concluded that a treehouse is the most reasonable solution for @oppositeoffice

You can now find us at Geschwister-Scholl-Straße in #weimar

Our sincere thanks to the President of @bauhaus_uni @peterbenz.buw for providing the grounds of the historic Baumhaus University for our office. Thanks to the Chair of Structural Design @bauhaus_ket Torsten Müller and @prof.dr.michaelherrmann for ensuring that the treehouse was calculated with safety factors generous enough to satisfy both physics and bureaucracy
Thanx at Frank Motz of @accgalerieweimar for helping frame our modest structure intelectually as part of a living architectural heritage, an argument that proved surprisingly useful in conversations with the authorities. Thanks also to @villamassimo.de @juliadraganovic for graciously accepting that our correspondence now comes from a somewhat unconventional address. Thank you at @noibau_official and @elodie_grande for building and thank you for the great Gefährdungsbeurteilung from @bauhaus_uni

We look forward to welcoming visitors, clients and also more than human beeings.

Inclusive design starts here with light, choice, community.

This 10,000 m² workshop was designed for 120 people with disabilities—but the architecture goes far beyond simply meeting accessibility requirements.
Three courtyards—a triangle, square, and circle—bring daylight deep into the 50-metre floorplate while making the building easier to understand, navigate, and inhabit.

Visual connections between workshops encourage awareness of one another. Circular windows open glimpses into different activities. A compact circulation loop, communal heart, and roof terrace create opportunities to meet beyond the workplace itself.

Even the industrial material palette—concrete, steel, timber, and translucent polycarbonate—is balanced by light, landscape, colour, and places to pause.

The most important move here is simple:
inclusion isn’t treated as an added feature. It shapes the architecture from the beginning.

MAKE AMERICA tiny AGAIN
Good to know that there are also Americans who understand correctly their own size.
Our Baumhaus Office has been published a lot in last time but this is definitely the most charming publication that arrived today in our mailbox!

The Tiny Times from Utah. A tiny newspaper and museum. Sometimes the smallest publications make the BiGGEST impression!
Thank you @tinyartshow for this wonderful piece of mail.

ARIANUOVO 43 : Opposite Office
Casa Editrice Libria, 2026
ISBN 9788867644070
Lingua Italiano/ Inglese
248 Pagine

.

Kommt vorbei! :)
