This week OPP welcomed the lads from USA’s San Francisco Golden Gate Rugby Club High School program!

Great skills and learnings… but even better people!

He’s back!!
OPP welcomes back Dylan Pledger to the holiday program this term. After spending the season on the sideline due to an injury, he has been able to embrace another side of footy. His knowledge is so valuable to all athletes. We appreciate Pledge giving back to the younger generation, and can’t wait to have him this holidays.

Welcoming Fabian Holland to OPP!!

We are super excited to have Fabian come in and share his knowledge. Fabian is a player who burst on the rugby scene tearing it up at the highest level. We are super grateful for him to come in and share his knowledge and insight, the athletes are going to love this. Fabian is coming back from a season long injury, so we appreciate his time. Welcome mate 🤝🏽

Privileged to have these 3 legends come in to give some knowledge back over the holiday program. The kids really enjoyed the knowledge given and will take this on throughout their rugby journeys.

Ollie looked at breakdown detail, and how we can be more efficient on both sides of the ball looking at what a strong body position looks like.

Noah shared his knowledge on catch and pass, and how the ball is always faster than the man! Getting the ball to space.

Lastly, Louis was a great addition with his background in speed coaching and strength development for athletes. Sharing his tips and tricks about how to run faster, and how often athletes should be sprinting.

Huge thanks to all 3 of these lads.

Dylan Pledger came in during the holiday program and coached putting the ball into space. A great area to learn and develop skills, the athletes will definitely take this into their future games. We appreciate it Pledge!

On Tuesday we were grateful enough to have Paul Tupai come in and share his knowledge. Tupz has been such an amazing coach for these young kids, breaking down the core skills and implementing them into games to show their importance. His experience and energy do so much for this group and we are so grateful for his time.

More days, more fun, more learning, and best of all more rugby! We are excited to announce our school holiday program over the 2 week break. This will be rugby based, however, whilst learning there will be fun games, team building and prizes up for grabs. We are super excited to be able to host this at Kings High School.

We will also have 2 special guests which will come in over the days and apply their knowledge into your young athletes, these players have experienced rugby at some of the highest levels.💙💛

This week’s session focused on learning the fundamentals of a good catch pass.

We looked at developing this into being able to execute it under pressure to put our mates in space! Great progression for this group with a game to finish!

Our rugby academy is all about helping young players build confidence, learn the fundamentals, and enjoy the game.

We focus on developing skills, teamwork, and a strong work ethic in a fun and supportive environment. Whether they’re just starting out or looking to improve, every player is encouraged to grow, stay active, and love the game.

The price is $100 for 8 weeks starting 3rd of May! Sessions will be 1 hour long.

Smaller group sessions are available outside of this time if you cannot make Sunday, please get in touch.
