What a GREAT time meeting and hanging with @asher52 in The Liliko’i Lounge! After his incredibly informative and thought provoking seminar at Tikehau, in which he emphasized the importance of “storytelling,” we shared some drinks and laughs and “talked story” in The Liliko’i Lounge. Thanks for joining us Jason and Kailee!! We’re already looking forward to next time!

From the one that became two, to the one we picked up to take with us to Maui when we moved in 2020, our shelves crafted by the intensely talented @thetikigonzo , continue to be a source of beauty and joy for both myself and @optcenter . We are so happy to be able to have them in our beloved @the_lilikoi_lounge . For those of you that don’t know, Tiki Gonzo suffered a stroke last year which has taken a terrible toll on him and his ability to continue making these beautiful creations. He and his family have announced that he will be accepting his final orders for his works this month. If you are interested in one for yourself, now is the time to act. We are so grateful for having been able to own ours and, although he may not be making them anymore, as an Artist myself, I know he’ll be coming up with something else to dazzle us all with somewhere down the line. Many thanks Gonzo! You are loved and admired and always will be! Robert and Joel

Yuletide preparations begin
as Santa with his Coconut Mug moves in.
The bulbs we are hanging.
The tins will be banging.
There will be music and song
as our friends sing along.
So grab another bin,
The joy is rushing in.
Rum, Wine or Beer
Our Christmas Gatherings
are almost here.

It’s a somber day on island…

Taking a moment to think about the people, pets, homes and total devastation that happened in Lahaina 2 years ago today. #MauiStrong by @optcenter
