The Heart (IC 1805) and Soul (IC 1848) nebulae form a vast and iconic emission complex located in the constellation of Cassiopeia, within the Perseus Arm of our Galaxy. The Heart Nebula owes its poetic name to the characteristic two-lobed shape that resembles a human heart. At its center is Melote 15, a young open cluster that hosts supermassive stars. Located a short distance from the Heart, the Soul Nebula is also known as the Embryo Nebula due to its profile that resembles a fetal ultrasound. This photograph was taken with the technique called Hubble Palette (known as SHO), the false-color color mapping technique made famous by the images of the Hubble Space Telescope, advantageous for those who photograph from polluted skies because the signal of the light released by sodium street lamps is eliminated from the photos. ---------------------------------- Technical details Date :2026 from 8-15-16/08 , 7-8-12/09 Site & Sky: Frontignano di Ussita (MC) SQM 20.8 Lights: 114x600s Ha filter , 40x600s OIII , 42x600s SII Total 32h 40min Setup: Asi 1600mm PRO, lens Samyang 135mm F4 , Mount Skywatcher NEQ6 Pro Filter: #optolong Ha7nm , SII 6.5nm , OIII 6.5nm Credits: Marinelli Andrea #nebula #optolong #filters by @optolongfilter

“Ten more minutes, then I’m packing everything up.” I had been waiting for almost two hours for the clouds to leave even a small opening in the sky. Then, finally, it happened. ✨ The sky wasn’t even as clear as I had hoped, and the clouds were still there… but after all that waiting, that glimpse of the Milky Way was more than enough. Sometimes landscape photography is exactly this: waiting two hours for just a few minutes of sky. 🌌 Location: Mont Cenis (Lac du Mont-Cenis), French Alps, France Date: September 12, 2026 Camera: Sony A7 III Lens: Sony FE 24mm f/1.4 GM Filter: #Optolong L-Pro Sony Full Frame Star tracker: Move Shoot Move Nomad Tripod: Manfrotto 055XPRO Sky exposure: Focal length: 24mm Aperture: f/2 Exposure: 150 seconds ISO: 1250 Frames: 1 × 150s Tracked with the MSM Nomad Foreground exposure: Focal length: 24mm Aperture: f/3.5 Exposure: 30 seconds ISO: 800 Frames: 1 × 30s Credits:Davide Torchia The final image is therefore a blend of one tracked exposure for the sky and one static exposure for the foreground. Post-processing: Adobe Photoshop and AstroPanel. The Optolong L-Pro Sony Full Frame filter was used for this image. by @optolongfilter

🇬🇧 Subject: Jellyfish Nebula (IC 443) Integration: 8 hours 40 minutes (104 x 300s) Setup: Evostar 72ED | ASI533MC Pro | Star Adventurer GTi | ASIAIR Mini | Optolong L-Extreme IC 443 is a supernova remnant 5,000 light-years away, featuring a cosmic shockwave expanding into the interstellar medium. The dominant deep red hue highlights ionized Hydrogen (H-Alpha) emissions, while the subtle cyan-blue fringes trace oxygen-rich regions (OIII). This crisp color separation is driven by the Optolong L-Extreme dual-band filter (7nm), which selectively isolates these two wavelengths while blocking out ambient light pollution. #astrophotography #ic443 #jellyfishnebula #deepskyobject #astronomy taken in Serralonga, Sorso by @optolongfilter

— Setup: @celestronuniverse C8N @zwoasi ASI294MC Pro + ASI178 @optolongfilter L-Enanche @ioptron_telescopes CEM60 @passione.astrofotografia @longexposure_shots @astrobin_com @scatto_night @night_photogroup @passioneastronomia @astrofili_bolognesi #NGC6992 #EasternVeil #VeilNebula #Astrophotography #Astrofotografia by @optolongfilter
