If you asked me 20 years ago, when I set out on my journey to become a PT for musicians, what career highlights I would be looking forward to, being the co-chair of the Performing Arts Medicine Association International Symposium would not have been on my Bingo card.

What an incredible honor and privilege it has been to work alongside Finola Ryan and the entire planning committee on curating an experience that highlights some of the amazing work that is being done in Performing Arts Medicine research and pedagogy from some of the greatest minds across the world.

It’s always so inspiring to listen to new perspectives, make new connections and open channels for new collaborations. My heart is so full and I can’t wait to reconnect again in Manchester, UK next year! by @opus_pt

Another milestone in the books ✅

Thank you to @uscpt.con_ed for inviting me to present a full-day course on the Clinical Management of Instrumental Musicians.

In addition to providing education to musicians on ways to help prevent injuries and enhance performance, It has been one of my most important missions to bridge the gap between artists and healthcare professionals who have the skill set and background to care for this unique population.

Thank you to @tillrichterdrums for taking a few hours of your busy schedule to come share your valuable perspectives as a performer both from a technical and occupational perspective.

Thanks to the participants who attended literally from coast to coast, for your openness, thoughtful questions and curiosity during this marathon of a day.

It was truly a dream. Looking forward to the next cohort! taken in USC Division of Biokinesiology and Physical Therapy by @opus_pt

Icing on the cake was to see and hear the amazing musicians of the @laphil in their season opener and to see so many of my friends and colleagues do what they love on stage.

Thanks to @pamassoc for another incredible and inspiring International Symposium of Performing Arts Medicine. It was an honor to present "Pelvic Floor Considerations for Wind Instrumentalists: understanding the relationship between your breath, diaphragm and pelvic floor" with my good friends and colleagues, @annasaundersdpt and @drbrookewinderpt. It's so great to reconnect with colleagues from all over the globe and across multiple disciplines to grow and learn about how to better serve my community.

It was also incredibly inspiring and humbling to attend the Global Summit on Occupational Health in Music and contributing to some of the content presented within it and help shape the future of performing arts medicine research, policy and clinical care.

It is definitely an exciting time to be in performing arts medicine to see the growth and momentum that has picked up in recent years and to be a small part of it all.

I'll see you all again in NYC next year!!

It's always an honor and pleasure to visit the @recordingacademy and collaborate with incredible team at @musicares to provide physical therapy services to music professionals from all walks of life.

Today was no exception with the Humans of Hip Hop (H3) event, kicking off with financial advice from @lynnrichardson and providing
physical therapy, vision, custom ear plugs, and mental health services to attendees.

If you are a professional who works in the music industry (in any role), I highly suggest checking out the invaluable resources that @musicares provides. And if you are in a position to donate, this is 10000% a worthy cause and one I will always support in any way I can.

Special thanks to my bestie and colleague, @drbrookewinderpt for being my wingman and providing invaluable guidance to the attendees 🥰
