I picked up this book, at a bookstore in Scotland, based on the cover alone. I didn’t read the inside flap or asked the shop girl what it was about. I just bought it based on the title.
When I began reading the book, I was pleased to know that the main character was Mademoiselle Lenormand.
It was the most pleasant surprise to read this novel that felt like historical fiction. AND because of my obsession with Lenormand herself and the cards I read that are named after her.
The Tarot Reader of Versailles was such a pleasure to read, and I savored every moment of it. I looked up all the real life women the author included in the novel and gave myself a crash course in French revolutionary feminists. I was sad when I finished it. I wanted more! I wanted the story to continue! taken in Paris by @oracleswithmichelle

Today’s Lenormand pull for the New Moon invites you to gently release the agreements that are no longer serving your growth and well-being.

The constant cycles you’ve been on that are wearing you down don’t support the mature & sensual being that wants to live long, strong, & healthy.

Appreciate the past, appreciate the experience. Now put it to rest.

The bouquet as the hidden card is gifts, it’s joy, it’s appreciation. There is a whole lot of good coming from this closure.

Today’s pull advises to make necessary changes to your finances that will benefit you in the long-term.
For instance, create a budget, review your bank account, cut out subscriptions you don’t use, put a little money into a savings account, start a side hustle, or outline a new business idea.

The Sun and Moon are in Capricorn today. Get inspired by the goat’s responsible, disciplined, and ambitious traits to create financial stability.

I have a few decks that I cycle through regularly and I was wondering how I could keep them close, but not always in their box or in a bag. I found this beautiful vintage rose glass ashtray at a Brocante last week and my cards fit perfectly in it!

9-Card Portrait spread for the month of January (and a shadow card for good measure.)
Looks like it’ll be good month centered around writing, documents, messages. Perhaps some love notes? 😊 Some friends in high places offering supportive solutions. Things in pursuit (aligned with your dreams and wishes) will be stabilized. Looks like some lucky opportunities in the works. Friends playing a huge role in the month. Reading the shadow card as a bit of anxiety on the subject’s part but also a lot of talking around the subject.
A soft reminder to find the right words before speaking them.

Does this Lenormand spread resonate with you?
