We’re pleased to announce four projects starting next week for BEAR Fine Art students in years 2 and 3, with guests FEMKE HERREGRAVEN, ÂNGELO CUSTÓDIO, PUCK VERKADE and REMCO TORENBOSCH. Ângelo Custódio @oralityovermorality is an artist, researcher, performer and educator working with voice, writing and sound, creating sonic-based experiences from a crip~queer positionality. Trained as a classical singer, Ângelo explores techno-somatic ways of voicing and poetics, developing sonic encounters that open “cracks” toward wild(er), freer ecologies of living. Femke Herregraven’s @femherregraven work explores how abstract value systems shape ecosystems, language, historiography and daily life. Drawing on research into financial markets and risk, she builds iterative sculptures, drawings, films, simulations and hybrid installations that reflect on how these systems shape our experience of reality. Femke is currently showing as part of @sonsbeek_artprojects Puck Verkade @puckverkade is a Dutch artist and educator based in Berlin, making installations, sculptures and videos that pull viewers into surreal, cartoon-like worlds where comedy and critique intertwine. Playful and subversive, her work has a haunting undertone, revisiting the archetypal narratives that shape our social systems — touching on accountability, complicity, reproductive rights and bodily agency, always with curiosity and humour. Remco Torenbosch’s @remcotorenbosch practice unveils the systems of political-economic governance that organize and sustain global economic power. He has exhibited at Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, V&A London, Kunsthaus Zürich, Kunsthalle Wien and more, and has taught at Yale School of Art, ArtCenter Pasadena and IULM Milan, among others. taken in BEAR Arnhem by @oralityovermorality
