Today is #NationalLatinaDay and my evening ended at the @pwcparks Parks and Recreation meeting where I serve as the Potomac District Commissioner. I am the only Latina on the commission and I would like to commend anyone who represents nuestra comunidad in spaces where decisions are being made! Virginia LULAC is proud to celebrate Oriella on her graduation from The Campaign School at Yale University, one of the nation's premier leadership and campaign training programs.

Throughout her career, Oriella has demonstrated a deep commitment to public service, from serving in the offices of Senators Mark Warner and Tim Kaine, to her role as a Presidential Appointee at the U.S. Department of Transportation, to her continued service in the Virginia General Assembly and leadership within Virginia LULAC.

Her accomplishment reflects the power of dedication, perseverance, and a commitment to uplifting our communities. We are proud to celebrate this milestone and the example she sets for future generations of Latino leaders.

Happy Father’s Day to my father and all the dads! I learned from my father how to dream and place your plans in the hands of God. My father arrived to the USA as a 15 yr. old boy with nothing but a desire to live in peace and freedom. He was an orphan that fled the violence of the Civil War in El Salvador and worked hard, prayed, and started a family. As America turns 250 let us not forget the hard work that immigrants and their families have contributed to make USA greater. ¡Gracias papá! by @oriellaforva

I had the privilege of attending the Batestown Exhibit Ribbon Cutting today, highlighting the historic African American community of Batestown, established by free and formerly enslaved families. This Juneteenth weekend has been filled with community, celebration, and reflection on the resilience of those who fought for freedom and opportunity.
I also enjoyed attending the Juneteenth & Me Festival and the Juneteenth Block Party. Thank you to the organizers, volunteers, first responders who made these events amazing! Happy Juneteenth everyone! by @oriellaforva
