These five relievers stepped up in a bullpen that truly needed this year.

Who are you giving the biggest role to next year based on second half success?

The Rays boast the most former Orioles on their playoff squad but many former Orioles are still fighting for the World Series title. Guardians and White Sox tonight to see if anyone else joins this list.

Who have you been happiest to see under the playoff lights? Comment Below⬇️⬇️

Orioles Stats (2018-20): 47.2 IP, 7.36 ERA, 4.67 FIP
Dodgers Stats (2021-): 221 IP, 2.36 ERA, 2.90 FIP

Phillips was originally aquired by the O’s in the trade that sent O’Day and Gausman to the Braves in 2018. He was released by the Orioles organization in early August of 2021. Has been really good since.

Orioles Stats (2017-21): 156 IP, 4.73 ERA, 4.00 FIP
Dodgers Stats (2025-): 120.2 IP, 3.65 ERA, 3.32 FIP

Scott is another guy who had a world of potential but didn’t figure it out fully until after his Orioles tenure. The PTBNL we got for him (Yaqui Rivera) is close to MLB ready at only 22 years old.

We thought it was going to be Grayson and this guy at the top of the rotation not too long ago. Him along with the guy in the next slide netted us a year of Corbin Burnes.

Hall posted a 220 ERA+ this year in just over 60 innings pitched. Really could have used a guy like that.

Joey Ortiz is a guy who was squeezed out purely do to infield depth at the time, but is another guy who I really think would have made the 2026 Orioles better.

The dude can play defense and we needed some of that in the middle infield this year or even at 3rd. CES held his own defensively but having a guy like Ortiz that you can plug in and will play solid anywhere you put him is valuable.

His 2026 Stats: 415 PA, 9 HR, 9 SB, .270/.328/.402, 101 OPS+, 2.6 bWAR

Sigh…. this one stings the most out of anyone on this list. Baker always showed flashes but frustrated alot of Orioles fans. Tampa Bay helped morph him into the best closer in the AL this year.

He’s pitching in huge spots for a division rival. I’m very happy he’s thriving. Another guy we probably should have held on to but who knew??!!

Keeping this one short. Despite the catcher carousel of the last couple of seasons, I’m not made Sanchez isn’t in an Orioles uniform anymore.

The Orioles cut a lot of staff, including the dude in the Oriole Bird mascot suit.

Wild stuff. Thoughts? Comment Below⬇️⬇️

Despite a disappointing season overall, Alonso delivered everything we thought he would and more.

I feel like the wheels would have fallen off a lot sooner if he didn’t keep the vibes up. That itself is worth a ton.

Tough season but a lot of guys stepped up. Blaze, CES, Walker, Hoppe and Sanders made the most of their opportunities and I hope all are brought back in some capacity.

Anthony Nunez had a killer second half. He’s going to be a weapon in 2027.

The Keys went to the playoffs and the future looks bright prospect wise. It’s hard to keep waiting. Trust me, it’s draining. Consistency wasn’t all there but lots of surprises and some great moments anyway.

Baz is winning 15+ games next year. Book it.

Thanks for the support Birdland. Love bringing you guys content no matter what the outcome is, and your support has really helped us grow this year.

Keep on following along. Big things in store🔥 taken in Orioles Park At Camden Yards by @oriolesarmy

Pete Alonso joined Chris Davis (2x), Mark Trumbo, Nelson Cruz and Anthony Santander as the only Orioles to hit 40+ home runs in a season (in the 21st century)

Best signing in a long time.

Trevor Rogers ties a career high innings pitched in tonight’s loss. The Rogers-Basallo battery has yielded strong results this year.

Rogers when Basallo catches (excluding today): 101.2 IP, 3.36 ERA, 4.3 K/BB, .242 BAA

I really hope the O’s bring him back👍

They may not be All-Star numbers but Albert Suarez deserves alot of credit for being versatile since joining the O’s in 2024, his first MLB shot since 2017.

O’s begin a crucial series with the 95 win Brewers tonight, where they’ll see old friends like DL Hall, Joey Ortiz and Gary Sanchez. taken in Orioles Park At Camden Yards by @oriolesarmy

Luis De Leon has looked like a keeper after his first couple of outings.

He’s only walked two batters total.

Will he be in the rotation next year?
