I recently had the privilege of getting a little background on our 7th round draft pick this year, Teddy Sharkey.

He absolutely made the most of his professional debut, tossing 10 shutout innings between the FCL and Delmarva, striking out 16.

Super approachable and humble guy! Could see him progressing like Alex Pham (Reliever to Starter) or just developing into a late inning weapon. Either way, I see him on the major league roster eventually, making an impact.

Excited to see what he brings in 2024!!

Luis De Leon has looked like a keeper after his first couple of outings.

He’s only walked two batters total.

Will he be in the rotation next year?

Ethan Anderson and Aron Estrada will finish the season in Norfolk🔥

Tavian Josenberger (113 Games, .343 OBP, 39 SB) was also recently promoted from AA Chesapeake⚾️

The two killed it this year🫡

Do we see these guys on the MLB roster next year? by @oriolesnest_

Your Frederick Keys All-Stars are here. 83-46 in the regular season is a testament to the guys who came through here and showed out. Most of the guys here are in Chesapeake (AA) now.

Question: Who’s our breakout prospect next year? Drop your picks below⬇️⬇️

These two came into the org and made it look easy right away. Nate George shot up prospect rankings last year with 19 year old Jaiden Lo Re breaking out in similar fashion this season. He’s hit at every level he’s been at and is slashing .354/.421/.462 for the Keys since being promoted.

Both have been quick risers in the org and will look to continue the success.

Your 2026 Shorebirds full season All-Stars. A lot of these guys got called up to Frederick or beyond, but showed out in Single-A

2026 draft picks Ty Head (61 PA, .891 OPS) + Eric Booth Jr. (82 PA, .719 OPS) also performed well in their small sample sizes at the level. by @oriolesnest_

The big question: Can he sustain his momentum?

The MLB team has been disappointing this year but the minor league depth continues to shine. We’re focusing on Vance Honeycutt today and his resurgence since his promotion to AA Chesapeake. Can he sustain his momentum?

These numbers might be hard to understand at first glance, but what you should really know here is that Honeycutt has been able to tap into his power more. He’s striking out at half the rate that he was in Frederick and making more contact on pitches in the zone. The chase rates have stayed similar so it’s really been about making the most of the pitches he does get in the zone.

It’s manifested into the baseline stats in AA as Honeycutt is putting up MLB The Show like numbers so far in a limited sample size.

NOTE: Except for Espada, the general rule here is that I went with guys that haven’t made their Orioles debuts yet. Guys like Gibson, Weston, Enns and others are obviously options too

The O’s have a bunch of guys waiting in the wings and with rosters expanding soon, it’s a great time to look at some options to come up and show what they’ve got down the stretch. A lot of these guys could genuinely help the big league club with a shot.

Some guys are more likely to come up than others but swipe through and comment who you want to see most!

Here are a few honorable mentions:
