Out here training to keep up with @orosfishing on the river.

Training any version of a lateral lunge or Cossack squat will take you far. And yes, there are many ways to regress and slowly build the capacity to accomplish this movement pattern.

Progress it by racking some additional weight with a kettlebell or dumbbell.💪 by @orosfishing

WE WANT TO EXTEND A BIIIIG THANK YOU TO ENNIS ACE HARDWARE & OROS FLY FISHING!

The Madison River Foundation’s 2026 Annual Trout Rescue is all about coming together to protect the trout that call the Madison River home, and we’re so grateful for the local businesses helping make it happen!

A HUGE shoutout to @ennisace for their generous support of our volunteers! Every volunteer will receive a $10 Ace Hardware GIFT CERTIFICATE and a FREE bucket as a thank you for lending a hand.

And that’s not all! @orosflyfishing will be joining us with FREE SWAG for volunteers, plus a little EXTRA fun this year! We’ll have a few special prizes up for grabs in some friendly, just-for-fun volunteer challenges. Whether you have the best fish-scooping technique or simply bring your A-game to the rescue, you might just walk away with some extra gear!

Most importantly, every volunteer helps make a real difference in protecting our wild trout. We couldn’t do this important conservation work without the support of our community and the people who show up to help.

WANT TO HELP SAVE TROUT (And maybe win some swag)?

Where: 8 Mile Fishing Access
When: Saturday & Sunday, October 17–18, 2026
Time: 10:00 a.m.

Come lend a hand, enjoy some friendly competition, and help us protect the Madison River’s trout!

A huge thank-you to Ennis Ace Hardware and Oros Fly Fishing for supporting our volunteers and our river. We hope to see you there!

Sometimes the fish aren’t ignoring you. You’re just fishing the wrong depth. With OROS, a quick ⅛ turn loosens your indicator so you can slide it up or down. Another ⅛ turn locks it back in place. Depth changes in seconds. It’s that easy. 🎣

We have news!

This is what we’ve all been waiting for…. the ANNUAL FISH RESCUE has officially been scheduled for this weekend, October 17th-18th!

We will meet at 8 Mile FAS @ 10 a.m. on Saturday & Sunday. Snacks, drinks, and a grand time will all be provided. Oh, and there might be some swag there as well. 👀

This is a great opportunity for anyone who has been a part of the MadSquad, wanting to volunteer, or hoping to get some hands-on action on the Madison!

Please bring water, weather appropriate clothing, and waders or waterproof boots. Along with any net(s) you might have with very small holes (we will provide a few). We are ecstatic to see you all there and rescue some fish!

@fishtechy.usa digital fish measurement or good old-fashioned numbers on a net? Ashley’s net had options. I instinctively went analog. Some habits die hard. 😂

After careful examination and considerable debate, we concluded it was a pumpkin. 🎃🎃🎃

Sometimes you’re just trying to get to the next spot, so you cast out an OROS and walk it downstream with you. Not exactly a stealthy approach, especially in clear water, but you’d be surprised how often the fish don’t seem to care.

Sometimes the best drift happens when you’re not even trying.

Did you see that buck? It’s bow season, so the Oros team didn’t ask too many questions. 🦌
