☀️ Siena is the stop number 23 of the Giro d'Italia column which from 2021 tells the story of the Country, from the cities to the smallest towns, through words and photographs. The journey to the Tuscan city, told throughout a text by Alessandro Orsini and the photographic contribution of Olivo Barbieri, opens the Artribune magazine and, as always in the column, shows us an unusual face of the places crossed, thanks to the different sensibilities of the invited authors. In these 4 years we have described an Italy far from traditional guides, while defining a beautiful atlas of current national writing and photography. Thanks to those who have participated so far and to those who will participate in future magazines. The next stop will be Bologna...

I am excited to teach another edition of “Just Practice: Considering the Just in Architectural Practice,” a Professional Practice seminar this Fall 2024 @columbiagsapp . The course continues a dialogue around radical practicing and the synergies among the diverse expertise necessary for the built environment. The seminar stresses the importance of architecture practice as a collective endeavor opposed to the historical legacy of the master as the single creative power in the practice. The seminar addresses the discipline’s exclusionary dynamics to prompt models that allow architects to reclaim agency over the design processes, ethics, and the condition of labor under which architecture operates.
