Scarring

Most surgeries leave scars. Because the goal of cosmetic surgery is to make you look better, the scars can be especially bothersome. For example, hypertrophic scarring is marked by a raised scar that is very red and thick. It happens in between 1% and 3% of stomach tucks, along with smooth, hard scars called keloid scars. Dissatisfaction with how one looks in general Research has shown that most people are happy with how their surgeries turned out and that most women are happy with how their breasts look after surgery. But there is a real chance that you will be unhappy with the results. People who get breast surgery might have problems with contouring or asymmetry, but people who get facial surgery might just be unhappy with the results.

By learning as much as you can about your doctor's background and qualifications, and having post op care you can lower the chance of having bad side effects. You should also find out as much as you can about the place where your procedure will be done. Seroma is a disease that happens when serum, which is sterile body fluid, builds up under the skin and causes pain and inflammation. This can happen after any surgery, but it happens most often after a stomach tuck, happening to 15–30% of people who have the procedure. Seromas can get infected, so they are often drained with a needle to stop more infections. This pretty much gets rid of them, though there is a chance they could come back. blood pressure that goes down There will be some blood loss, which is normal during surgery. On the other hand, uncontrolled blood loss can cause a drop in blood pressure, which can be life-threatening. Patients can lose blood both while they are on the operating table and after the procedure is done.

The more you know about your future surgery, the better prepared you will be for it. Recovery can be made more difficult and frustrating if you don't prepare ahead of time by asking the right questions and ordering the right supplies.

Take the time to find a surgeon you can trust and ask him or her questions ahead of time about how to prepare for the procedure, what to expect in terms of the recovery process in the days, weeks, and months ahead, and what kind of supplies you'll need. You should do your homework and be ready.
