Hi everyone!

In early winter 2024 I got the chance to record @morphine_records_raum with @aidanbakermusic on guitar and Andy Ozbolt @aquarianrenegade on harp in Berlin.

@rabih__beaini engineered the record along side Lucas Brell. That same evening we performed to a room full of wonderful folks in the city. @davidaugustx generally took this short video from the live set.

In a couple of months @oscarson_label in Germany will be releasing our trio recording on vinyl, with artwork by @valentina.gonzo. Thank you so much to Matthias for working so hard to get everything done and to Jannik Plackties for the careful work on mastering the audio.

A big thanks to my friend @legoldston for first introducing me to Aidan around my first visit to Berlin in 2022, that connection sparked this collaboration a couple of years later!

This isn't the formal announcement, but a sneak peek! Also a shout out to @narcynarce for gifting the @maktaba.bookshop shirt I am wearing! taken in Berlin, Germany by @oscarson_label

mare immobile – mare immobile (excerpt1)

The debut release from my new project is now available as a limited-edition 12-inch single-sided lathe-cut vinyl + CD.
Released by @oscarson_label (Germany)

Evoking the sea not as imagery but as a condition of listening, mare immobile inhabits the edges of silence, where change occurs slowly, almost imperceptibly, and time begins to dissolve.

“A quiet form of motion, unfolding below perception.”

Cat.#: osc 34 (LC) / (CD)

I have been really moved during the process of working on this album, a collaboration with Italian musician @demetriocecchitelli, who built up some beautiful ambient tonalities around some lo-fi piano recordings. Filmmaker Guillaume Vallée scanned a textile work that my mother, artist Merrie Houghton, worked on in the 1970s in Switzerland. This album will be out tomorrow through @oscarson_label in Germany, the link is in my bio. Today I was holding the tape in the sun in Paris. taken in Paris, France by @oscarson_label
