LIGHT / SOUND / SPACE
A collaborative project exploring the relationship between colour, sound, space, and emotion.

⁣The osmosis Damun Sound Walk took place across parks, streets, and passageways throughout the Inner West ward of Damun, an area that extends across Newtown, Camperdown, Enmore, Lewisham, and Stanmore. We invited our community to engage in an experience that lead participants through a series of site-specific audio created by sound artists and creative writers. Over the month of May 2022, we guided our audience through the experience via a smartphone-optimized website that hosted a map corresponding to a series of physical posters across the area – the series of sound works were experienced on site through headphones or portable speakers. ⁣ ⁣ osmosis acknowledges the traditional Aboriginal custodians of the land on which we listened to and experienced these sounds; we acknowledge their living culture and their unique role in the life of this region. We acknowledge that Aboriginal communities and their Elders have been custodians of this country for many centuries; this is land upon which these people have performed age-old ceremonies. The traditional Aboriginal groups of this area are the Gadigal and Wangal people of the Eora Nation. We pay our respect to their Elders past, present and emerging. Always was, always will be Aboriginal land. ⁣ ⁣ Artists⁣⁣⁣⁣ Eric Avery @eric_avery_marrawuy ⁣⁣⁣⁣ Del Lumanta @shiny_droppings ⁣⁣⁣⁣ Holly Friedlander Liddicoat @djoffit ⁣⁣⁣⁣ JF @secondcousin_ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ Oedura @owenonart ⁣⁣⁣⁣ Raynen Bajette Amos @_osmiaavosetta_ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ Salllvage @salllvage ⁣⁣⁣⁣ Sonya Holowell #sonyaholowell⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣ Curated by Marco Rinaldi @marco.com.au ⁣⁣⁣⁣ ⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣⁣ Funded by Inner West Council @innerwestcouncil⁣ ⁣ Until next time 👋 by @osmosis______

Thank you @purespacefm and @phoenixcentralpark for having us! Lighting by Calum Young @palvision Creative Direction by Marco Rinaldi @marco.com.au REPOST text from @phoenixcentralpark : -------- "A mind-blowing performance... I was transported to a new place." Words from guests attending last week's Third Space performance, presented by @purespacefm & @___osmosis. Transforming The Nest into a club, Third Space presented an intense brand of IDM featuring booming bass, complex drum patterns, and unsettling synths all produced through the incredible depth of equipment on the megadeck. The performance was enhanced by the ethereal lighting provided by osmosis, ever-changing and synchronised to the music in perfect harmony. Witness the awe-inspiring performance from Third Space above 🌌 📸 @billyzammit taken in Phoenix Central Park by @osmosis______
