Before Halloween came Samhain.
Samhain reaches into Ireland’s past, to a time in which communing seasonally was a deeply entrenched part of life for many folk.
Samhain signified the end of the harvest, the nights drawing in and honouring ancestors. Similar practices connected to seasonality and communing with those that have crossed over can be found all over the world.

It is a time in which the veil between worlds is thin and the Otherworld is closer than ever.
Join us for our Samhain Ritual, where we will greet the past, commune with the spirits and honor otherworldly beings as they cross over.
Tickets can be found at the link in our bio 🪾🌚

Singing in solidarity with those living in fear amid the rising threat of far right nationalism, we were incredibly proud to present the first choral arrangement of Angeline Morrison’s ( @angelcakepie2 ) original song Go Home.

It was a true privilege to perform Angeline’s song at our Summer Solstice concert this year, singing - in her words - for everyone that has been made to feel unwelcome in the place they call home.

We look forward to sharing more from powerful and inspiring songwriters with you at our Samhain Ritual on 30th October. Link in bio to be there 🪾

🩸⚜️ Blood & Gold, performed at our Solstice Celebration gig back in June 🩸⚜️

A song collected by Béla Bartók in the early part of the 20th Century and re-written by Jane Cassidy and Andy Irvine to a Bulgarian dance song tune, this has become a regular feature in Oss set lists as we reflect on the devastation of war and sing together for peace.

I had the privilege of attending OSS Choir’s first full concert at St. John on Bethnal Green, a Summer Solstice celebration.

It was one of the most exquisitely beautiful things I’ve ever experienced in London.

Thank you to everyone who made such a magical evening possible. ✨ by @osschoir

This Friday me and the beautiful gang of souls in @osschoir perform some songs to ring in the summer solstice in a dilapidated old church. We’d love to have you there with us.

Joining this joyous, warm and silly little gang of misfits was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. Feeling our voices fill up a room is a quite a thing to behold, don’t bloody well miss it. Deets on the last slide and link for tickets in my bio.
