Producers, lenders, and policy-makers seeking to gain insight into the rural agricultural economy and make more informed decisions will be interested in attending the 2026 Rural Economic Outlook Conference, Wednesday, November 4 at the Conoco Phillips OSU Alumni Center in Stillwater. The excellent lineup of topics includes livestock market uncertainty, farm transitions, data centers in Oklahoma, grain market trends, along with updates on the Food and Ag Products Center, ag finance, and ag policy.

The registration fee is $50 and includes breakfast, lunch, and breaks.

The department recently hosted its decades-long tradition of Ready Set Sell, where professional salespeople visit campus to participate in a sales role-play activity. This semester, 2015 Agricultural Economics graduate Terra Burditt (left) traveled from Nebraska to share her experience with the students by pretending to be a customer and allowing students (left to right) Liv Atendido, Ryland Mosley, and Brady Hopkins to perform a mock sales call. Twenty-two salespeople participated, helping fund the banquet afterwards and providing our students with an active and unique learning activity. by @osuagecon

Our undergraduate students and members of the Ag Econ Quiz Bowl team had an awesome showing at SAEA, competing against nearly 40 teams and showcasing preparation, teamwork, and competitive excellence on a national stage.

Congrats to our very own Dr. Amy Hagerman and Dr. Brian Whitacre!
