WE UP! 🚀 A few months ago, I made a promise to myself: invest in my wine education.

Today, I’m excited (and honestly still a little in disbelief) to say that I’m officially enrolled in WSET Level 2 at the International Wine Center.

This didn’t happen because I had everything figured out. It happened because a community of people believed in me enough to invest in this next chapter, and I’m incredibly grateful.

For the next several weeks, I’ll be sharing the journey, the study sessions, the tastings, the wins, the challenges, and everything I’m learning along the way. My hope is that this certification deepens the experiences I create through King Roni’s Tasting Table and opens new opportunities to connect people through food, wine, and storytelling.

… yeah, I’m coming for EVERYTHING they said I couldn’t have 😈

Didn’t take many photos the first go round. So, I made sure to get a few on the 2nd installment of King Roni’s tasting table. It’s March and the theme was Women of the vine. I think I wanna have it as a mainstay of the series. Thank you to all of the curious darlings who shared space🤍 Merci to all of the female wine producers for making delicious juice. I can’t believe it’s already been a week since our International Women’s Day Coffee Walk. (I promise to be better at recaps🤭)

Thank you to everyone who came out to spend the morning in conversation, community, and coffee ☕️

Despite losing an hour to daylight saving time, it was a great turnout. We were lucky to have a beautiful 60° day and found ourselves walking down Tompkins Avenue, also known as “Black Girl Magic Row,” surrounded by incredible Black women-owned businesses.

One of my favorite parts of the morning was hearing about the women who have shaped your lives and getting introduced to new artists, writers, and creatives through each other.

This was the first of many Otherwell gatherings, and I’m already looking forward to the next coffee walk.

Other Hour Ep. 4 Why Play Matters…There’s power in a room where people feel safe enough to be silly, vulnerable enough to laugh, and free enough to just be.

Play isn’t frivolous.
Play is restorative.
It combats burnout.
It sparks connection and creativity.
It’s often where leadership begins.

Whether it’s sharing what lights you up or discovering something new through a silly game, The Other Hour has become a soft landing space …a kind of social R&D for grownups.

The Other Hour| Weeks 2 & 3

We’ve been gathering each Friday at @fabrikcommunity for what’s become more than just a happy hour. It’s a reminder that connection, play, and shared joy are forms of wellness too.

Week 2: Founders & Friends at Play where the brilliant @startupbaddie (F3) and @rishshshshshsh @onefourthree.dating walked us through how play can actually fuel innovation. Yes, there were Canva decks. Yes, there were roundsof @uno Yes, it was magic.

Week 3: Date Night, Friend Night was a celebration of chemistry, connection, and the simple joy of being together. We swapped best date ideas, best friend date ideas, how to talk finances while dating and I presented a piece on why one should date my best friend. Thank you @moneyherway and @djsmileybeatz for captivating us via @canva presentations:)

Endless thanks to everyone who’s come through so far. You make the room what it is.
