Wellness and connection through hobbies :)

POSTS STORIES REELS TAGGED

WE UP! 🚀 A few months ago, I made a promise to myself: invest in my wine education.

Today, I’m excited (and honestly still a little in disbelief) to say that I’m officially enrolled in WSET Level 2 at the International Wine Center.

This didn’t happen because I had everything figured out. It happened because a community of people believed in me enough to invest in this next chapter, and I’m incredibly grateful.

For the next several weeks, I’ll be sharing the journey, the study sessions, the tastings, the wins, the challenges, and everything I’m learning along the way. My hope is that this certification deepens the experiences I create through King Roni’s Tasting Table and opens new opportunities to connect people through food, wine, and storytelling.

… yeah, I’m coming for EVERYTHING they said I couldn’t have 😈

One sip closer. 🍷

Didn’t take many photos the first go round. So, I made sure to get a few on the 2nd installment of King Roni’s tasting table. It’s March and the theme was Women of the vine. I think I wanna have it as a mainstay of the series. Thank you to all of the curious darlings who shared space🤍 Merci to all of the female wine producers for making delicious juice. I know that these have been pretty spontaneous but working on a more consistent schedule 😚🍷

So excited to be co-hosting with my dear friend and collaborator Chef @farah_alia_momen for the final @bondhu_basha dinner in the Berkshires 🏔️ . She’s spent 5 years building community through food, and it’s such an honor for @otherwell.us to be part of this closing chapter.

We’ll be celebrating with wines from female winemakers (curated by moi) + dishes pulling from both our Memphis + Bengali roots. Three courses, storytelling, and a little magic when the American South meets Southeast Asia.

Reservations are at capacity , but we’ll leave room for a few walk-ins. Come thru! It’s a quick train ride up🤍

Oh yeah, karaoke/ after party shenanigans immediately after🎤

Announcing a very special dinner in collaboration with @otherwell.us, a NYC-based community centered around play and wellness! Enjoy a three-course meal celebrating Otherwell’s founder, Roni Bradley (@nomadicgriot): a story of hustle and hospitality from Memphis to NYC! Stories will be told, wine will be (optionally!) poured, delish food will be served!

Dietary restrictions accommodated (please mention when buying tickets), pay-what-you-can available. See you there. 😘

Meet our Pie Picnic partner @otherwell.us 🖤

Our friend @nomadicgriot created Otherwell to harness the power of play as an alternative to typical wellness experiences. In her wise words, “Play isn’t frivolous. Play is restorative.” Join us at the Pie Picnic and The Other Hour alternative happy hour events to combat burnout with an evening of very un-serious presentations, games, and unfettered joy.

Follow @otherwell.us to be the first to hear about all of Roni’s upcoming events!

Community is all about showing up!

Over these three days, I:
🪩 cohosted an event on finance, wine, and dating with @moneyherway and @nomadicgriot
🪩 attended Built by Builders @fabriksocialspaces
🪩 went to @otherwell.us Other Hour
🪩 facilitated the NYC @belongcenter
🪩 spoke at an investor event at Fabrik
🪩 participated on a panel by @sabz__

And had a ton of meetings.

I’ve been thinking a lot about balance these days. How do you balance showing up both for yourself and your community?

Summertime, and the living is easy. Easy as a Summer Friday. Easy as pie. 🥧

Join us for a midsummer Pie Picnic on Friday, August 1st from 5–8pm @fabriksocialspaces in @dumbo_brooklyn .

Bring a pie to share—sweet or savory—from The Book on Pie by @emcdowell along with a good book for our Summer Reading Book Swap. We’ll provide breezy picnic vibes, happy hour drinks, and a few more surprises throughout the evening.

We’re partnering with our friends at @otherwell.us, @cosee.shop, @prefacecoffee, and @theartoffashionandfood for an evening filled with the ease and playfulness of nostalgic Summer pastimes.

RSVP via the link in my bio @lettersfromthetable

Ok, so the inaugural Other Hour at @fabrikcommunity changed my brain chemistry. Here are a few things I’ve learned: 1. Adults are really just 10 year olds in business casual waiting to show their true colors in a competitive game of @uno . (Box rules vs other rules are truly a democratic debate)
2. People love @canva presentations about fun stuff. So much so, that I have volunteers for next week’s event. It’s giving immersive and interactive lol
3. If you make a playful invitation you often make meaningful connections. I got that from @jesterofthepeace 🤍

See you next Friday :)
