Erika dreams on the cellular level, or perhaps of transdimensional intelligences moving through strange patterns on celestial objects, working towards a mysterious goal. Her connection to the dreamworld becomes concrete in her approach to music, simultaneously so solid and yet so ethereal. Erika still finds time to accomplish many things in her waking hours, such as being a member of Ectomorph and Circle of Live, co-conspirator of Detroit's Interdimensional Transmissions record label, DJing and making music with her pet machines. Her freeform streaming radio station erika.net was one of the very first iTunes presets, running 24x7 for 17 years from 1999 to 2016. Prior to that, Erika was very involved in WCBN-FM Ann Arbor, as a freeform and jazz DJ, and Program Director.
The daughter of a famed scientist and already running a well known BBS from her bedroom by the time she was 13, Erika is no stranger to expressing her ideas through technology. In 1997 she was handed a TR-606 and asked to join Ectomorph, and has since become an electronic musician of the highest order, focusing on analog synthesis, with live hardware sequencing that allows transformation over time and a deep depth of tone. taken in Watershed PDX by @othr_wrld

This Thursday September 17th, we're back with another Slow Techno, your favorite FREE party at Process. Nolid will be joining residents othrwrld and Peter Sheppard behind the decks for the evening. Come hang, dance, chat and vibe out with us in the club. AC will be blastin' and we'll have natty wines and bevs to quench ya.

Slow Techno is all about transforming Process into a place for slowing down, connecting and socializing. We'll have space for dancing, some bar tables and cozy rugs and cushions for lounging around in the club room.

Portland based artist @othr_wrld is a staple of the Pacific Northwest and is for the DANCERS. Her sets exemplify sonic control and are a unique blend of high tech psychedlia, hypnotic tempo shifts, and moments of bliss. We were first captivated by her abilities as a DJ at a party called subchannel in SF, where she turned the entire room into an amorphous organism, dancing together and navigating the journey as one.

OTHRWRLD is the founder of Club Liminal, an event in Portland that centers the artistry of Trans/POC musicians and dancers. It is also described as a portal "dedicated to deep sonic spiritual journeys". Check out one of our favorite releases by her, "Divine Summoning", which was released on @delusional_records (one of our favorite California based record labels).

The Obelisk beckons… Its origin and purpose are unknown, though it does emit a faint EM field. Three of Portland’s favorite aliens will channel the transmissions, amplifying them into vibrations that can be perceived by the human ear. Find OTHRWRLD, Gardenparty, and Andy Warren at the controls of the ambient stage from midnight - 6am.

OTHRWRLD is a trans futurist musician, DJ, performance artist, and aural apothecary, using sound and space to invoke conduits of visionary transformation. She channels her sounds in the club, the warehouse, and the forest alike with spellbinding tranquility at any BPM.

OTHRWRLD found her home in Portland Oregon in 2017 and has cultivated a strong relationship with the local nightlife/dance music community, always pledged to prioritizing the queer and marginalized underground. In 2023 she started her own immersive event/mix series “Club Liminal” a left field ethereal techno party for fellow trans futurists and all who yearn to rave on the edge of reality. In 2026, she co-founded SLOW TECHNO, a free monthly club night at Process focused on deep grooves and opportunities to connect more intimately on the dancefloor.

Usually found somewhere between the treetops and a fogged-out bog, this elusive critter cultivates ecosystems of unfamiliar sound. A dancefloor? Maybe. A bog? Certainly. @osmosis__world resident and @contact.pdx series curator Gardenparty communicates in spores to those willing to wander off. Expect swampdub, mulchstep, and mossy bass textures blessing the cochlea.

A club dad and longtime force in Portland’s underground, Andy Warren has spent over a decade building bridges for dancers through his collective @believeyoumepdx and his new home base, @process.pdx. His dedication to the dance floor has made him one of the city’s most respected selectors and organizers. His sets blur house, techno, disco, and experimental shades into layered, emotional transmissions. by @othr_wrld
