Nothing like a KEEP OUT sign to draw me in.
I had a nice chat with the ‘gaffer’ and was allowed to have a look…oh the beauty of old buildings! I have always been attracted to places and the stories they share. The old King Edward school was filled with such stories being whispered along the corridors. Modena’s Apennine Mountains. Growing up I considered the Apennines hills, but looking around me, i can only see high peaks and beautiful meadows. I guess when confronted with the Alps there can be a tendency of downplaying the landscape around one’s home.

As I am heading back to where I grew up by train, I look back to the 5 days spent with @olivia_bown_mazzoni in Vadissieve, in Tuscany, with a great deal of nostalgia.
I never spent so many days in such a peaceful place, getting to meet incredible human beings and to ride 🐎 daily in a variety of gorgeous landscapes. Truly restful and energising at the same time.

I am already planning to go back next year.

The highlights for me have been Angelo’s magic food, the story telling and guitar playing of Franco, Lara’s gentle ways while out on horse back treks…and many more…but each memory has a person, a human being and his/her story at its centre.
