We shot two videos today with @erwin_tuijl on synthesizers at the legendary @mailmenstudio in Utrecht. Audio brilliantly captured by @tete_ischa and video captured by @immanuel_bom - this guy was performing behind the camera, really….
We can’t wait to share it with you. Stay tuned…

That was a cool debut, the first performance of our tabla & drums jugalbandi! We’ll definitely going to do this more often! Any suggestions for a good name for this project?

@erwin_tuijl did an amazing job playing lehra on his MS20 to add some synth awesomeness. With just a 30 minute rehearsal.

Late night #fusionfriday practice session. Doubling the speed step by step of this triplet groove in 7 - or tigun chandh in rupak taal - as I am taught. Closing it off with a matching tihai, listen to the melody and you can hear how it resolves.

I didn’t bother trying this on tabla, the fast triplets are still way beyond my speed limitations.

Tihais in Rupak Taal (7 beats) and a triplet groove towards the end. Enjoy!

I’ll be playing more of this together with @imrankhantabla during @u_questionmark
📆 - 8 November
⏰ - 13.15 - 14.00
📍- @dbs_utrecht

That @stanton_moore pandeiro on the left is of good use. These extra dry @meinlcymbals sound amazing and so does the bigger dayan (tabla) from @gullumusical

Sounds better with headphones 🎧

Farmaishi Chakradhar Gat.

Farmaishi means on request. - Did anyone request this…? - Chakradhar means circular and a gat is a composition for tabla.
After three rounds it resolves to the 1 (or Sam) again. Enjoy!

Thanks @imrankhantabla
