Although it is bitterly cold here, the sunlight reflecting off the snow is so beautiful. Here's a little sunlight tour. ☀️☀️☀️

This is our only bathroom, and it's small, so functionality was key, balanced with the prim look I wanted. It was a challenge, but we're very happy with the way it turned out!

- We found the dry sink at The Western Reserve Antique Shop and our plumbers did an amazing job of converting it for us!

- The mirror is from Circa Home Living.

- The faucet is from fergusonhome.com

- The light is from Primitive Star Quilt Shop

- The wall, door, and trim color is Sherwin-Williams Fiery Brown. by @our_primitive_home

It's been a few months since I painted our kitchen cupboards, and I'm still so in love with the change! I liked our kitchen before, but it was just "eh, okay." I think the change creates a much better backdrop for our primitives. Swipe for a before photo to compare.

Good morning! It's been awhile, and I thought I'd pop in to say hello and see how yu'ins are doing. Sharing a little tour of part of our dining room with a few simple touches of fall. 🍂🍁🍂

Good morning!

I realize that it might not look that impressive in these photos, but I was thrilled to find this fabulous early winnowing tray. I come from generations of farmers, so pieces like this are particularly meaningful to me. I purchased this piece from the sweet and lovely Faye Kleman at EARLY COUNTRY ANTIQUES in Franklin, Ohio.

More Information on Winnowing Trays

A winnowing tray is a shallow, wide agricultural tool traditionally used to separate grain from chaff. Grains are tossed into the air, allowing the wind to blow away light hulls and dust while the heavier seeds fall back down.

Today, these utilitarian objects are highly prized by collectors for their rich history, organic textures, and striking visual presence.

We are far from home today. We arrived in Trinidad yesterday to lead a birding tour, something we enjoy very much. But a piece of my heart will always remain at home, my happiest place in the world.

I took this picture, and many others, of the house, the gardens, and our three cats (my babies ❤️) the morning before we left, to ease the homesickness that I always feel when we travel.

It's an extraordinary gift to travel around the world with the love of my life @kennkaufmanart and to love our own place in the world enough that going home feels just as wonderful.

Have a beautiful day!

Good morning, and thank you all so much for the warm welcome back yesterday! I missed my IG friends.

Today, I'm so excited to share this fabulous apothecary that we added to our collection this spring! 30 drawers, old red paint, and it's the perfect size for this space next to the blue stepback.

Good morning! I hope you're all happy and healthy. I survived my busiest season, and I'm checking in to see who's still out there. Our house is a mess, partly because I've been working so many hours, and partly because I spend a lot of time out in our gardens this time of year.

Sharing a few pics of our dining room and a few of my favorite garden pieces. Anyone else collect millstones? They're such a pain to move, but I just love the way they look in our gardens! by @our_primitive_home
