The wait is over – CLAC is back! 🌊

Canterbury Leisure & Aquatic Centre officially opens on Saturday 7 November and we’re celebrating with a day of FREE family fun, entertainment and more.

Join us at Tasker Park from 9am for outdoor activities, be part of the Grand Opening Ceremony at 9:30am, then be one of the first to experience the centre when its doors open at 10:15am.

📣 Building on community feedback we received in 2025, we’re excited to share proposed improvements for Lakemba Town Centre. The plans include:

🌳 Upgrades to the park and play space at Gillies Lane Reserve
🚗 Improvements to the Haldon and Gillies Streets intersection
🌆 Moving a section of powerlines underground to create a nicer streetscape and make space for these upgrades
🗑️ Replacement of furniture and street waste bins along Haldon Street.
