Thank you so much to everyone who signed up to make and deliver sandwiches! Our sandwich sign-up slots are about filled with a few openings still available at the end of December - whoa!

If you're looking for other ideas the next couple months, we would be glad for folks to make sweets and snacks, donate warming items, run canned food drives, and more - just visit ourdailybread.us and hit "donate food and goods" to learn more and snag your slot. 🙂

If you would like to go the route of purchasing snacks or supplies to have delivered to us, visit our Amazon Wishlist at bit.ly/odbwish

➡️ If you're looking for an easy recipe to donate, here is a no-bake power bar recipe that can be made at home:

Ingredients:
1 cup peanut butter
2/3 cup honey
2.5 cups whole rolled oats
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp sea salt

Recipe:
First, stir together the peanut butter, honey, vanilla extract, and salt.

Second, fold in the oats!

Next, press the bars into a parchment-lined baking pan.

Finally, chill - transfer the pan to the fridge, and allow the mixture to chill and firm up before you slice and eat the bars. You're done!

Once the bars are made, you can wrap them in individual-sized bags or plastic wrap. Please visit ourdailybread.us to choose a sign-up slot. ❤️ by @ourdailybreadcincy

Thank you SO much to everyone who donated coffee creamer after we sounded the alarm! We were completely out, and most of our guests take their coffee with cream and sugar.

The scale is hard to show here (maybe we should’ve placed a banana in the photo), but the biggest containers in the back layer are each 3.5lbs and almost 800 servings of creamer. We are good for a few months thanks to all you kind and caring folks stepping up.

We are completely out of coffee creamer!

For many, a cup of coffee is how we start our day off right. Our Daily Bread serves 500+ cups of coffee per day, and most of our guests prefer theirs with cream and sugar. Right now, we’re bummed to be stuck serving it black. 🙁

DELIVERY: If you’d like to help by having creamer delivered to us, our Amazon wishlist is at bit.ly/odbwish or at the link in our bio.

DROP-OFF*: We also have drop-off hours (no parking necessary!) Monday-Friday, 7am-12 noon at our back door. We’re at 1730 Race St. across the street from Findlay Market. From Race St., turn left right before our building (big, yellow, and now has a large mural on the side) onto Elder St., and take your first right into the parking lot. Just pull up to our donation door, ring the bell, and we’ll help you unload.

*If you’re dropping off, that’s the only way we can get bulk sugar. Ordering it shipped is very cost-prohibitive, so if you’re picking up creamer and want to grab some sugar as well, that’s a huge help! We are always low on sugar. by @ourdailybreadcincy

We are touched and proud to have a new mural adorning our building on the Elder St side! Photographer @melaninandhalide and artist @jimtucker_studio collaborated for @blinkcincinnati to honor loved and respected OTR and Our Daily Bread community members. Frank carefully photographed Sarah who works with ODB guests as part of the Hamilton County Quick Response Team, Ms Ruby who is a longtime ODB guest and community member, Mr Yip who owns Saigon Market at Findlay Market across the street, Barbara who lovingly volunteered with ODB for three decades, Joe who is another longtime ODB guest and artist who knows just about everybody in OTR, and finally, Jim painted a portrait of Cookie, ODB’s beloved founder, right by our front door.

Jim’s painting work gave each portrait a soft frame to rest within and reflected what we do inside ODB, featuring lots of food, unique characters, and fun energy.

We are grateful to have gotten to know Jim and Frank during this process, and we are so glad to have a colorful piece of art on our building that is pleasing to the eye and such a good fit for ODB and OTR. Come check it out these next couple nights of Blink and for long after. ❤️☕️ taken in Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen and Social Center by @ourdailybreadcincy

Grain of Hope is officially completed, and we are ECSTATIC! If you’re in OTR for @blinkcincinnati, stop by our rear wall to see it in person. We are so grateful to @hamiltoncountyr3 for supporting this project and beautifying our building. ❤️

Grain of Hope shares the story of food rescue from the perspective of a loaf of bread on a journey of self-fulfillment. Written and illustrated by Our Daily Bread’s own Kat Heilman, Grain of Hope demonstrates just how important it is to make sure good food stays out of the landfill, even if it’s a little different or misunderstood. 🍞 taken in Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen and Social Center by @ourdailybreadcincy

We’re thrilled to partner with @ourdailybreadcincy on their new Elder Street mural!
We helped fund this piece to spotlight food waste prevention and honor their mission of feeding our community. Yesterday, our team—along with Stephanie Roach from @urbangreenlab —got to view the finished artwork!
This project is part of the multi-city Waste Less™ Mural Campaign lead by Urban Green Lab.📍Stop by Elder Street near Findlay Market to see it in person! by @ourdailybreadcincy

We've officially kicked off our food-rescue partnership with @chikfila! Their new Clifton location will be sharing great food with us as an ongoing rescue partner, transported of course by @lastmilefoodrescue! This week, they brought us fresh eats from three locations to serve every one of our guests, and then surprised us with a big check! Thank you to Chik Fil A for your support and positive energy. by @ourdailybreadcincy

Food Waste Prevention Week is in full swing! We’re so proud that we were able to rescue over 150,000 lbs of food last year, but that’s a big number to wrap your head around. We came up with some examples that will surely help our Cincinnati neighbors visualize the amount of food kept out of the landfill! ☺️ by @ourdailybreadcincy
