If only there was an app or something where we could just tap to exchange info, contacts get saved by event or location alll in one place and I can search and filter and followup. And, it can be used at any event or anywhere really, not an event app, like my own Rolodex app, you know? 👀👀

What a night. And what a beautiful reason to get dressed up.

I had the chance to attend the @glowingbeyond Gala, supporting the Women’s Health Foundation, and I couldn’t have been more proud to be there as the web sponsor through Olive Grey Creative.

I’ve had the absolute pleasure of working alongside @deniselinphoto and her team over the past year, so seeing this gorgeous Met Gala inspired masquerade come to life was pretty incredible.

Ticket sales tell you how many people came.

They don’t tell you whether anyone actually connected.

For most event organizers, what happens between attendees is still largely invisible. You may see a busy room, but can you measure how many connections were made, when networking was most active or which spaces created the most engagement?

A room full of women. A little networking workshop. And a whole lot of meaningful conversations. 🪄

I was so grateful to be invited by @workablewoman.ca to speak about OUR Network and lead a workshop on how to actually make the most out of networking.

But honestly, the best part wasn’t standing at the front of the room. It was everything that happened around it.

I met so many incredible, inspiring women who are building businesses, chasing big ideas, making moves and figuring it all out along the way. I got to hear their stories, make new connections, share what we’re building with OUR, and grow our waitlist with women who believe networking can be so much more than exchanging business cards.

Workable Women has created something really special. A space where women can show up as they are, connect genuinely, support one another and leave with new relationships and new possibilities.

That is exactly why I’m building OUR.

Because you never know who you’re going to meet, what conversation might change something for you, or where one introduction could lead.

Thank you to Workable Women and @quynhie.nguyen @jessicaraesparkles for inviting me into the room and giving me the opportunity to share something I care so deeply about.

Networking events can feel awkward, especially when you walk into the room without a plan.

The goal isn’t to speak to everyone or walk away with a new client. It’s to be intentional with the time you have.

Set one simple goal. Start a conversation before you have time to overthink it. And when a conversation has run its course, exchange information and give yourself permission to keep moving.

Networking isn’t about working the room. It’s about showing up, being curious and creating opportunities for genuine connection.

Save this for your next event.

And when it comes time to remember who you met and keep the conversation going? That’s where OUR comes in.
