We were at Honda’s unveil in Downtown LA for the Passport Baja Spec, and the headline number is 1,300 hybrid horsepower.

Unlike most of its rivals in this class that use massive V8’s, this Passport Baja Spec Trophy Truck is using a 2.4 liter twin-turbo V6 with an 800 volt hybrid system, sending power to all four wheels. That V6 is based on the Acura ARX-06 engine, the same prototype that’s won at Daytona and Sebring. Honda’s last Baja Passport made around 550 horsepower so this is a massive jump and it’s the first hybrid to race in the top Trophy Truck class.

@brycemenzies7 is driving this beast. It debuts at the Baja 500 in June, and Honda is going for the overall win at the 2027 Baja 1000.

Thank you to @race.service and Menzies Motorsports for hosting the event, and to Honda Racing Corporation USA for showing it off.

THIS is the Raybrig Team Kunimitsu Honda NSX GT from 2018. Japan’s Super GT has consistently been the fastest GT racing cars on the planet alongside the DTM before it turned into a regional GT3 championship. Super GT has become one of the most iconic racing series in the world.

The GT-500 is a silhouette racer class, meaning that most body panels and chassis components do not share with the road car. This NSX GT has a 2.0L turbo 4 that produces around 650hp in a car that weighs as much as a Miata (2350lbs with driver). With this spec, it has consistently put down lap times 2-3 seconds faster than the current WEC Hypercars around Fuji Speedway.

This NSX GT preceded the Honda Civic Type R GT, which will now be replaced by Honda Prelude GT.

Toyota GR GT features an all aluminum 4.0L twin-turbo V8 with a “hot v” configuration to keep the overall engine compact. The engine will also feature a dry-sump system to keep the center of gravity low, as well as reduce oil starvation during hard cornering.
The hybrid system is directly integrated to the rear transaxle and the total power output is expected to exceed 600hp.

Lexus racing has rebranded to Gazoo Racing USA, and for the longest time in the fans have wondered what Vasser Sullivan racing will be using for the 2027 season.
We know now that the first customer for GRGT3 is going to be Vasser Sullivan racing.

One crash changed wing design forever. From the Audi R15 and Acura ARX-02a to today’s F1 cars, the swan neck mount became the standard, here’s why.

The 2021 F1 cost cap had an unintended side effect. Red Bull couldn’t lay off its engineers, so it built them a hypercar instead. The RB17 is what happens when Adrian Newey has nowhere left to put his engineers. 1000+ hp, sub 900kg, Formula 1 lap times for $8 million. No superlicense required.

Is new always better? In the case of Lamborghini’s GT3 cars, many people have strong opinions on the Italian bull’s decision to drop the V10 for a twin turbo V8. Check out this sound comparison reel from the practice day during @imsa_racing Monterey Sport Car Championship weekend at @weathertechraceway

Under the skin, the V8 is more efficient, has more torque, but requires more heat management, and obviously sounds very different.

Will we ever going to see another V10 race car on track again? We sure hope so

Come chill with us at the world famous corkscrew 😎😎😎

From its origins in 1957 as a replacement for the Pebble Beach road races to becoming a global temple of speed, WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca is pure motorsport magic.

Built in a dry lake bed (hence the name “Laguna Seca”), this 2.238-mile circuit has seen legends like Mario Andretti, Valentino Rossi, and Alex Zanardi tackle its 11 turns and 180 feet of elevation change. Of course, no story is complete without the Corkscrew. The iconic Turn 8/8A that features a blind crest and a staggering 5.5-story drop in just 450 feet of track.

Whether it’s the roar of historic Can-Am beasts or the precision of modern GTP prototypes, Laguna Seca remains the ultimate test of man and machine.

Don’t just watch history, witness the next chapter. The @imsa_racing WeatherTech SportsCar Championship takes over Monterey THIS WEEKEND (May 1–3)
