The scenic treatment.

After construction, Rochelle and Krista developed layered scenic washes to pull more depth and drama from the brick texture without losing the painterly quality of the surface. Using a combination of traditional grid enlargement techniques and digital projection, Veronica then traced and scaled the mural artwork by hand directly onto the wall before locking it in with paint.

Old techniques still work for a reason.

Restored a coffee table. When you have a piece that's just the right fit, super functional, with a charming design, it's great to bring it back to life, remind the wood how beautiful it's always been.

I realize I never posted this particular photo of a pumpkin I carved a few years ago. I really liked how the face took shape and improved as the pumpkin aged. The features compressed and grew more strained as it dried out.

Speaks to the medium, letting its unique properties work with me instead of against me.

Hopefully I'll make time to carve one at home this year, fall is my busiest work season and I rarely have the energy to practice art if I'm not on the job. I mostly just study at home these days, with videos and literature on things like color theory, bridging processes from adjacent industries like auto body work, construction, nail art, dentistry, furniture repair.

Here's to more witches' brew at home 🎃

No CNC in sight for this one. Every XPS facet was cut, wedged, secured by hand, patched the edges between each facet, and a coat of flocking for snow effect. It comes apart at the top for easy transport.

I had an event immediately after work and would not have had time to do more than a touch up on some face paint, so I worked looking like more of a lunatic than usual. Glowed under blacklight, I wish I'd taken a picture of that. by @overkillpropsnyc

The first body I did not paint, only the legs, but this second one is my own paint job, legs included. I do alright with an HVLP. And I'm cute as a button with sleepy eyes and messy hair.

These bugs are so gross, I love them so much. @argonprops

People are always complimenting my legs, but I don't see the appeal 🤔🪲 @argonprops
