I just found this picture from the night I rededicated my life to Christ almost two years ago with the man the Lord used so powerfully in my life, Ryan Vella.

This was my first night at Radiant Young Adults. I had gone with two friends the Lord had graciously placed in my life, never imagining that night would become the greatest night of my life.

As the message came to a close, Dr. Doug said something that shook me to my core. I remember him looking in my direction, and whether it was directly at me or not didn’t matter. I knew the Lord was calling me out. In that moment, I realized I had a choice. I could keep living on the fence, or I could surrender everything to Jesus.

When worship began and the prayer team came forward, I couldn’t stay in my seat. I had never been the type to go up for prayer, but it felt as if the Lord Himself was pulling me into the aisle.

Ryan was standing there waiting. He asked what was wrong, and I immediately broke down. I confessed the sins I had hidden for years and admitted that although I had given my life to Christ at seven years old, I had spent most of my life living on the fence. I told him I was done. I was ready to go all in.

As Ryan prayed over me, he spoke about things I had never told him. It felt as though my soul was being renewed. The weight I had carried for years was gone. I experienced peace, freedom, and the grace of Jesus Christ in a way I never had before.

So yes, in this picture I was crying. Not just tears, but the kind of sobbing that leaves your body exhausted. For the first time, I truly felt the weight of my sin and, at the same time, the freedom that only Christ can give. That night wasn’t the first time I believed Jesus existed. It was the night I fully surrendered to Him as my Lord and Savior.

I will never understand why God has been so gracious to me, but that’s the beauty of grace. It isn’t earned or deserved. It’s a gift purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ.

This picture reminds me that the Lord still changes lives, mine is living proof.

Thank You, Jesus, for the blood.

Cheesin with my new Creative Team friends at @weareradiantcreative

When I first got to UTampa in 2024, I was lost. I remember questioning whether I had even come to the right place. Then I found Radiant Church.

I got connected, found community, re-dedicated my life to Christ, and truly started following Him. Looking back, two years ago I never could have imagined where I would be today or the amount of joy that now fills my heart.

And now, I’m beyond excited to officially step into an internship at Radiant. God’s plan is so full of mercy, grace, and love. I can’t even imagine where I would be without Him. What once felt like uncertainty was actually God leading me exactly where I needed to be.

“In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.”
Proverbs 16:9

How amazing that the Lord stands faithful, even when we stumble.

I have truly been blessed with things I do not deserve from the Lord, and it always leaves me thinking, how is it that I deserve nothing, yet He has given me everything?

This semester at Radiant was such a blessing. I had the opportunity to lead a group surrounded by a community I never expected to have. The strength the Lord has given me to step into uncomfortable roles is something I will never forget.

Through every high and low, the Lord has remained faithful and continues to pull me through. He is good.

I will never make a better decision than the day I rededicated my life to Christ two years ago, truly choosing to follow Him and leave behind the lukewarm faith the world so easily settles for. Thank You Jesus for Your grace and forgiveness.
