There was something particularly fitting about using Oyster[Crete]® in Flourish in the City, a garden celebrating London’s urban landscape. Developed from reclaimed London oyster shells, the material reflects our vision for a new neo-vernacular material language, where architecture and landscapes are shaped by the resources, waste streams and identities of their own region. By reimagining discarded oyster shells into a lasting architectural material, Oyster[Crete]® gives London’s own material culture a new expression.

Honoured to be part of another wonderful @the_rhs flower show at Badminton.

“For All That Comes In Remains”, Matter Forms fabricated our first Oyster[Crete]® outdoor countertop and landscape setts, bringing recycled oyster shells into an award-winning garden that celebrates circular design and regenerative landscapes.

It’s been a week since our Oyster Metamorphosis event at @silolondon!

To wrap up the London Design Festival, @matter.forms hosted an exclusive evening at @silolondon , featuring sustainable interior objects made from local oystershell waste. The collection included candleholders, lamps, trays, and tables—all transformed from discarded materials into design-led pieces, alongside work from our incredible collaborators: @atelierwama, @fibrelab, and @fabreco.

The night was an immersive experience with canapés by our lovely chefs @moonherelee , @_will_stoyle_ , and Rachel, champagne, soundscapes, and tablescapes by @ingeridgull .

Special thanks to @mcmasterchef for supporting us from the very beginning!

Stay tuned for future developments!
